I have wide feet too. My feet are only size 10.5 which isn't even that big. But only time I get comfort is if the show is wide fit. Looking at my feet they dont even look big and wide like I"m an athlete or Andre the Giant. But half the time I try on shoes they are abnormally tight as hell. I cant wear office shoes that have pointed ends.
 
I spend about 100. Got into the "limited" nike drops. Most i paid was 550 for a pair that i absolutely love. But now im too scared to wear. And yes i know thats a dumb purchase
 
$150, I mostly wear "casual" waterproof motorcycle shoes nowadays. I buy a new pair every 2 years.

Used to buy lot of AM1 or Jordan pairs but they tend to disintegrate if not worn for a while. I have brand new wheat Lebron's and OG color Air Max 95 sitting in a closet for years and I'm scared to put them on as I don't want to realize once in front of my office building that the soles came off (happened a few times before).

My mother in law always give me shoes lol. But I was used to buy converse max 60 us.

funny she only buy Prada, Gucci, Valentino. sometimes they look good, other is just too fancy. Can't complain, some cost 1000 us 😂
 
Typically £200 to £500 for proper shoes; never had to discard a pair. Got Church's, Cheaney, Burberry, Barker and a bespoke pair from Attila in Budapest.

Vans for driving though👌
 
About $100-$150. Always New Balance as they fit me the best. I don't have much of an arch and need good support.
 
My current everyday shoes cost me $60. They're Under Armour. That's about my max unless it's a hiking boot or something.

I bought some Doc Martens back 21 years ago for $110 that I still wear occasionally so I guess I got my money's worth.

for dress shoes, 100-200. I buy two black and two brown in each style so I always have a back up. So $800 max I guess? Then I change styles ever 12-18 months (depending on wear and other factors). Haven't switched them out in 30 months though as I'm working at home. 75 on sandals. A fuck load on boots for riding. 75-100 for sneakers but they last forever.

Im not a shoe snob at all. I just buy what I like. Some times they are dirt cheap, other times not so much. One of the best shoes I ever bought were in a bargain bin.
 
I pretty much exclusively wear Doc Martens (usually around $120) and Vans (usually around $60) so, not super cheap shoes but not really that expensive either.
 
I just bought some new shoes, well boots, because the sole started to come off on my five year old Air Maxs and only bought them because they were 50% off. If my kids need new shoes I'll get them what they want and I enjoy looking for them with them. I really do like shoes, I just don't like paying for them.

My nephew is into shoes, he has stacks and stacks of them in his room. He buys, sells, and trades them. In 12/2017 I was able to get him the Air Jordan XI Win Like '96 for Christmas, he had tears when he opened them. One of my favorite Christmas memories.
 
Skateboard shoes, gym trainers, walking boots and casual boots rough ball park £100 - 300. I try to buy things that last.

My favourite purchase so far is a pair of hand made in England Vintage Dr Martens black quilon 1460 Ankle Boots. They cut my heels to shredded duck but I wear them with great pride lol.

Really depends I have shoes that are 70-100 that I wear everyday.

BBut I also have shoes that are more than 1k-2k and not just 1 pair but like over 10 pairs lol.
 
Dress shoes are around $100, I have one $300 pair of of Allen Edmunds, casual shoes are around $50 to $75. I need a size 15, so when I see some I buy them.
 
Around 50 bucks for a pair of nonslip workboots.
As a born n bred native of the Hellswamps of Florida I wear Tevas like 10 months out of the year.
Gotta pair of Timberland boots for when I actually were jeans/pants, thanks ma!
 
Living in Asia and doing a ton of outdoor walking every day in all sorts of weather, my shoes get trashed after 6 months or so. So spending £200+ makes no sense to me. Think the max I would go is 100 for a very comfortable pair.
 
I don't usually spend more than €80. In my experience spending more doesn't usually get you better quality. I only have two pairs of shoes as well. The obsession some have with shoes is laughable to me.
 
I buy off DHgate… all the Jordan and Nike reps… yeah like $60 max. Good working boots… probably $150 max. But I generally wear the former so it's $60 or less range.
 
Everyday wear is thongs (the Aussie kind).
Work boots are free.
Runners I pay $200-$300 (would pay more if my wife would allow it).
 
A lot of the brands I used to like have gone to shit (looking at you Clarks).

For casual stuff, I'm not fussy as long as it fits, is comfy and doesn't look bad (although I can skip the last one if they are really nice otherwise). I'm not prepared to pay that much though, unless they really will last many years (resoling allowed).

For dress shoes, I like a rounded toe. Other than that, as long as they are good quality, I don't care.

It's only really 'specialist' shoes that I get a bit snobby about, especially walking/hiking boots. But then again, I have been let down by companies I used to trust. I think the only 'specialist' shoe company that has never let me down is Walsh, and that's because they have never changed their main products design from its inception.
 
Shoes are one of the few things left where the mantra "get what you pay for" still holds true.
 
I go 2-3 years between new shoes. I've been wearing New Balance 574s for a long time. They are comfortable and good quality shoes.

Other than that I have a pair of Vans slip ons and some Timberland work boots I've had for 12 years at least. Best boots I've ever owned

My buddy buys sports jerseys off these kinds of sites. For like $40 sometimes it's awful rolling the dice on this stuff, but sometimes he gets awesome quality versions you cant tell is a knockoff.

Maybe I should try doing it one day.

Only thing I've ordered from China is a Pandora game box. Meh. Many of the games are some weird clone version and it came with the joystick not working. Had to open it up. The part came unglued. Glued it back on and it's perfect. I can live with some clone games. Only cost me $170 CDN all in. Got it surprisingly fast too.

Same here, I have a pair of Redwing as my regular shoes , bought 5 years ago , they are by far the most comfortable pair I own.
Nothing get close to proper shoes that have been broken in.

I got them at 280 Euro for Iron Rangers.
 
I have an european 50 size, i can't be a shoe snob.

I literally enter any shoe shop and ask where are the big leftovers that nobody wants because in sicily people are short and with small feets so they barely keep any 50 size shoe, and buying on the internet is an hassle since some brands are bigger and some are smaller so it may be 51 or 49 or something else and i have no patience with these things.

Buying shoes is such a big problem since i was 16...

If I had my way I would spend $20 or so but lately I've had to go closer to $50.
I have the most common size for men (11.5) but my width is 4E so it's tough to actually find shoes that fit me

I have to go online to get shoes, I've never found a pair in a store that fits

They've gotten so good, of course if you're trying to resell then stitching and material will be a focus. What I see is people purchasing off there, using like a teddit sub for QC review and then reselling.

Sone guys are legit turning big profit from oversea unauthorized sellers.

Shoe snob? Ha ha, no. I don't remember ever spending more than €200 on shoes. Even when I buy Timberland it's during January sales. I don't usually buy the cheapest supermarket stuff either, though, except when I just need a workhorse pair for gardening and such.
 
I find that my shoes often deteriorate too easily so I stopped caring for them.
As long as they're fairly priced and not too flashy they're fine. I do not care for any specific design for the pair I actually wear.

For jackets and stuff I am a bit more picky, and usually just end up getting certain brands in a style / fit that suits me.

Yeah, not fan of full-blown hiking boots....
but maybe shall consider them as my Trail running/walking shoes wear down quite fast.
 
Quality leather boots are really nice, leather is a hardwearing material, beautiful stitching, good for urban and countryside wear and they look good.

I would spend about £70-100 on a quality leather pair of boots.
 
I have a bunch of Visvim moccassins and Yeezy boosts, as well as a bunch of rare nike airs that were all quite pricey. It's just something I like, much like gaming and cars, that I dont mind splurging on. I don't drink or smoke or waste money on other shit so I guess I'm cool with that.

we only get one life right, so who cares if you buy shit you enjoy. Nice things are expensive!

The only shoes i wear are vivobarefoot, they range from, i dunno, 12,000yen to 28,000yen, depending on the model, i won't do a conversion because i dunno where you guys are
 
There isn't normal price for 52EU/13.5US...so most often Jordans (I have flat feet on the top of that, so I need that comfort), which is pretty expensive here, so I would say 200bucks +/-

Sucks....
 
I just got a pair of Saucony's Kinvara 12, great deal. They were 699 BRL but I got them for 296 on Black Friday.

These are running shoes tho, I also got a pair of dress shoes yesterday for 185 BRL, they were also on discount.

So no, I'm not a shoe snob, but I wish I had the money to be.
 
I have one set of better winter shoes, but that's it. Mostly buy them cheap since even more expensive brands disappointed me with the shoes falling apart in less than 2 years of casual use.

I like to buy shoes on sale for as little as possible. Leather trainers last the longest.

I understand that some shoes look super cool, but then you put them on out of sight on your feet and walk around in filth. So I don't care about shoes, it's a fool's errand.
