How about less talking and more games? Xbox still has the least 1st party games when he was put in charge of Xbox to this date.

Ummm I knew exactly what I was buying but that doesn't mean I can't complain about it? Dumb reply. You're the perfect example of corporate apologist. Its like telling me I can't complain about taxes even though I know I have to pay them.
 
You have the option to not buy their products or do so with PC with the maximum adaptability possible.

Also while its bs to push a propietary storage device in 2022, it's impossible to offer full customization. I mean, sony , let's you use whatever you want but you can't say use a switch pro controller (without adapter).

The only real option we have is not to buy.

It's hard to think otherwise from your post since you sound surprised over it.

Given what you wrote, you didn't sound like someone knowing its possible to use an external hdd.

But I've mistaken you for being not well known instead of seeing you as a troll.
 
Phil says he wants to give me options. Yet, my Sega Master System cartridges do no fit inside the expansion port. Curious, no? :pie_thinking:

well seeing as both consoles required you to transfer over the contents of ur last gen console over to the new console....not having ANY option for a year did matter. not having proprietary is better. But also not having to open ur console, have an easy plug and play expansion, and having extra storage available on launch day is also better.

Im certain more companies will make expansion cards. Im surprised it hasn't happened yet. Maybe seagate had a contract that only allowed them to do it for the first two years or something

There was an option for transfering last gen with external hdd/SSD, which you could play games from.

Your bringing up an irrelevant point cause nobody gives a shit about how things was a year ago, that feature is here now and it is a much better option in many ways.

Also there are a lot of optimized X|S Games that you can play off HDD

Just like PlayStation believes in generations, Xbox also like to give players options, especially when those options are platforms which they already own and face no real competition.
 
I'm old, literally dead to some of you, so would anyone be kind enough to explain if this is some sort of meme/troll thread or if people actually think "options" means specially storage solutions or is an all encompassing description including storage solutions, and that is the reason to put the middle finger up to MS.

There so so many reasons to hate big corps but this is such a wasted post I'm hoping I'm reading it wrong.

There is rarely the acknowledgement that MS solution has more flexibility and price is really its only flaw. It's also pretty funny that the complaint is that Phil "lied" about storage options when the entire solution is optional. You don't need it to save games. Troll threads and all that.
 
It sucks but with external, if you happen to have one around, you can offset some issues. All legacy games boot from it, and some X|S games too. I have a 500gb external to my S and combined with the internal I have a decent amount of games stored on it. I don't need to have like 40 games on it, I play like 2 or 3 at a time perhaps.
 
Man, you can't bring up anything about Phil Spencer in these parts. His cult followers come out the woodwork and label you a troll if you say anything that isn't in line with their opinion.
