What's actually gonna happen is that. Spider Man 2 is gonna look at particular way and people will claim it looks better than the Matrix demo regardless of whether it does or not because they already built up that anticipation. Its kinda like Buyer Remorse.

For example I see this with ChiefDada ChiefDada ChiefDada ChiefDada all the time.

This is a fake from 4chan.
it's crazy people think Sony would make something like this for a digital event.

I bet you its on some shitty excel only Jim and Hermen and PS Studio producers/marketing execs have, why would they make a graphic for an online event.

Nah don't be. It's going to be loaded without it. Just makes more announcements possible down the road.

I suppose so, but it's like your parents putting your Christmas presents in front of you and then saying "Okay but, just so you know, we didn't get you the one thing you really wanted" -- you're still excited for the other stuff, but less so, lol.

My plan is to buy a PS5 next month for FFXVI. I'm really hoping they announce a slim at this event because damn this system is big.

They've already announced a FFXVI bundle with a standard PS5. That answers your question.
If a Slim is happening this year you can expect a release in September with an announcement less than a month before release date.

Found this leak

1. TLOU Factions Live Service Game With Pay-To-Win Weapons (show opener)
2. Indie Games that you will say look cool and never play
3. VR Games that you will never afford
4. Mortal Kombat 1 Gameplay where one woman in a burqa rips out a muscular shirtless dude's spine out
5. Death Stranding 2 trailer that is esoteric & pretentious
6. Kingdom Hearts 4 Trailer with nothing but 'original' anime characters. Zero Disney or Final Fantasy
7. Tekken 8 Guest Character Reveal: Tuco Salamanca from Breaking Bad
8. Gran Turismo Live Action Movie Behind the Scenes Footage
9. 5 minute vtuber segment where Kratos tells us to all be more tolerant in the online gaming space
10. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (2022) Season Pack 4 Reveal
11. Dragons Dogma 2 Online Co-Op Showcase
12. Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake cgi trailer. No David Hayter. Made on Unreal 4, Cross-Gen. (show ender)

This would be in-line with the previous showcases. Massive disappointing and trash.

Hopefully this is all bullshit.

Come on guys, the good old "list of things to be shown taken on a mobile phone and slightly blurry" card is played every-time this kind of event happens, and it's always bullshit.

So I've heard people say rebirth won't be there beacuse ff16 is about to be released.

Can someone explain Square Enix logic about this? They seem to only market one game at a time in fear one game overshadows another and it sounds utterly ridiculous.

Surely people interested in FF rebirth are gonna be interested in FF16 and dare I say marketing both at the same time may help both? Sony showing last of us 2, Spiderman, GOT and Death Stranding all at one E3 didn't stop them all selling millions.

Jesus the whole point of this showcase is to show off multiple games to attract as many views as possible.

Square Enix are fucking weird.

Give us new Warhawk, SOCOM and/or Killzone! I really want to see Sony step up their multiplayer offering, Call of Duty is just so shit and I don't think there has been a better time for Sony to announce a good MP shooter

I agree and vice versa, if they showed a hype trailer for FFVII Rebirth for example, rather than take attention away from FFXVI, logically it would bring attention to it.

Not at all, you keep saying everywhere that Spiderman 2 will look better than the Matrix.
But that's not some prediction. You already said that "Horizon, DS.." have more geometric complexity than Matrix demo. You claimed that "the geometry used in the Matrix demo, particularly for the buildings, was not impressive".

Yet that is simply False.

A single window in the Matrix demo is over 1 million triangles. Some doors are over 10 million triangles.
One slab of sidewalk is over 1 million. Just one building in the Matrix demo has more triangles than the entire assets in Horizon and DS combined.

What you meant to say is that there is no artistic decoration in Matrix demo.

But nevertheless, you will claim that Spiderman 2 looks better regardless of what's shown next week. As you said already " Spider-Man 2 will blow the Matrix Demo out of the water to the point where we'll all be laughing at the memory of us praising it so much."

Spiderman 2 could look like a carbon copy of miles morale and you will say it looks generations ahead.
People always consistently make the mistake of viewing the new shiny object as the best thing since sliced bread.

Rebirth isn't coming out for another 10 months at least. There's plenty of time to do marketing for it.

You don't actually believe that was real did you?
It wouldn't be called Snake Eater: Subsequent 😂 it would be called Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsequent.
Which is a interesting subtitle as it means
"coming after something in time"
Probably just be called MGS3:SNAKE EATER

Sony really mishandled Little big planet franchise
What a shame 😰

Sackboy and Astrobot need to be right there with each other as Playstation's youthful mascots. They should even be in a game together.

Might be nice to actually give them both personalities. Sackboy should talk, and ASTRO make beep boops and bops.

Heh. I just saw all kinds of weird grammar in this. That alone made it BS.

I feel this 100%…but idk, I have strange feeling there is going to be a teaser for something beyond that, and it will be Final Fantasy related. I have no evidence, or any reason to think it besides history of PlayStation Showcases, but it's just something about this one. 🤷‍♂️

You might be right; they could do a FF IX Remake trailer teaser if a remake's actually in development. Still think it might be a tad too soon; if the FF VII remake's being stretched out across three games they may wait until the 3rd part is in its last year or two of dev before doing a IX Remake teaser.

So that's probably something closer to 2026 at the earliest.

Go long before that. I.Q.: Intelligent Qube, Ore no Ryouri, Mister Mosquito, Kuma Uta? Now THAT was weird. And yes, I also want Team Asobi to bring those kinds of games.

I'm hoping Sony at least do what Sega has been doing, and partner with talented outside studios who can work on modern versions of those legacy IP. But, maybe with a bit more budget, like some of them could be at Stray or Kena levels of production value, if not all of them.

I don't think those games in particular were expensive to develop, probably $10-$20 million budgets for each tops and that's an extreme high end.

The rumor is that Playstation's technical team along with Mark Cerny have been involved in the MGS1 remake. I'd expect it to deliver on the visuals.

Gameplay and design wise, it's going to be controversial regardless. It's a remake/reimagining of a game that came out in the 90's. I suspect they'll draw heavy influence from MGSV in terms of gameplay mechanics/combat and such.

Just as long as they still have the cinematic cutscenes of the original and at least the Psycho Mantis controller trick in there, people will be all smiles.

Yeah Project Zircon was the code name for the Castlevania project right? It has to be SOTN related.

I'm curious what everyone's thoughts are on this? No way they do a pixel remake right? Does anyone in the market have the chops to do a full Pixel remake of SOTN with a game of that scale? I don't think a 2D pixel art game would come close to how gorgeous the original looked and animated. So idk how it could top it if that was the route. 2.5D isn't exactly beloved and has a good chance of looking ugly. That doesn't seem safe either.

Or....

Bluepoint does a 3D bloodborne style remake of SOTN?

Outside of Castlevania, I really wanna see FF7 Rebirth.

Ah man, if there's a 3D SOTN remake being done by Bluepoint, and it gets revealed at the showcase, the internet will break in half. It'd cause mass hysteria, be insane hype.

I just hope if the FF9 remake is a real thing, it's the whole game and not chunked into sections.

I honestly think it's real, and it's not as big of a project as the recreation of 7. I think the 2dHD thing they did with Octopath is what it will be…and I'm 100% okay with that. No need to recreate the wheel like they did with 7.

Can someone help? I'm stuck in the hype train bathroom and there's no toilet paper.

Also I'm pretty sure Phil Spencer has snuck on board and is hiding in one of the cubicles.

I really hope factions is a survival PvPvE game with big map instead of the 5v5 shit.
Interviews to Neil Druckmann as well as job listings from the Naughty Dog website seem to suggest that the game will consist of a two-players co-op campaign of sorts, plus the classic team-based competitive modes from the original The Last Of Us multiplayer. Additionally, there's going to be an open-world/large map of San Francisco, that could be for either the "co-op campaign", a PvPvE extraction mode or a battle-royale - or all of them. The concept of you running a settlement of survivors is also expected to make a return from the first Factions, but now likely in the form of a Destiny/The Division-style customizable hub.

Yeah! Content dripping is so lame with COD its not even funny. They mostly spit in the face of people which payed for MP.

Museum was supposed to be in MP at launch and they treated us like its a new map when they re-released it, Dome was remade a bunch of times.

Gunfight is in the game now, and it was the most played mode with my mates in MW2019 but ffs 4 maps... is not appealing to me at all.

We need some IP to comeback. AAA MP FPS with devs and publisher which cares about the community. And is listening.

I hoped that Deviation Games works on a new SOCOM or something, since there were at least a few OG Black Ops devs there. But lately the news weren't so hot- people leaving and layoffs. So I'm not holding my breath but I still hope to be surprised or smth. We will see.
