I'm expecting this show to be better than e3 2016. It didn't succeed if it isn't. Two years, and the last showcase only Wolverine and Spiderman 2 were announced, and before that, everything sony was announced before the ps5 releasing, so I'm expecting a lot, including third party (at least 5-10 triple A third party games) with a sprinkle of indies and VR games. It has to be a 10 imo. Has to.

This goes without saying. We are beyond the days of Teen rating hero games. Wolverine needs dismemberment, lots of blood, and a dynamic and dedicated gore system. Make it as ridiculous as Mortal Kombat.

Contextually, last gen was when Sony had just finished the gen where Xbox gave Playstation a solid run for its money (ie PS3 vs 360).
This gen, Sony is coming off a previous gen where it absolutely demolished Xbox, and in the current gen there are not a lot of good vibes about Xbox (at least in terms of first party games). Sure Game Pass is awesome but it's so generic, it doesn't even need to be run by Xbox (if that makes sense).

Mega Man 11 (2018) was Capcom’s first game in true Mega Man form, since Powered Up & Maverick Hunter X on PSP (both remakes of sorts). But technically their last original (not remake or collection) in house developed Mega Man game before 11 was X8 on PS2 (2004).

But here’s to hoping for X9 to be developed in house.

There's no way Death Stranding 2 isn't here in any way.

There was a small Helldivers 2 leak from last year so we know they had a trailer ready to show back then.

Both safe bets tbh.

Death Stranding 2, Helldivers 2, Spider-Man 2, Wolverine and The Last of Us Factions are honestly safe bets.

Maybe not Wolverine...we'll see.

Like you said, Megaman 11 was made by Capcom themselves, and I want that team to work on it. Plus, its not like Inti Creates can make a new game without Capcom's say so.

Yeah Project Zircon was the code name for the Castlevania project right? It has to be SOTN related.

I'm curious what everyone's thoughts are on this? No way they do a pixel remake right? Does anyone in the market have the chops to do a full Pixel remake of SOTN with a game of that scale? I don't think a 2D pixel art game would come close to how gorgeous the original looked and animated. So idk how it could top it if that was the route. 2.5D isn't exactly beloved and has a good chance of looking ugly. That doesn't seem safe either.

I am with you on that one) This is all I want. Gimme my beautiful 3d person open world and wide-linear games and keep the rest. I could live with one or two cinematic first person games I guess, in a pitch. Something with ReVillage visuals.

That said, I am curious about few of the multi-player offerings. Only if it's something more unusual and experimental. I am not going to play it but would be interested in a sense of medium's possibilities. COD-wannabees I don't give a damn about.

Too much focus on multi-player would be abysmal. I hope they keep the balance but the danger is always there. Fine, I get it, but they probably think - like this crowd - that they have enough 1party 3P single player games. I disagree! This year we're feasting because of 3d parties, but overall I want more.

I want Spider Man 2 to look as good as the Matrix demo. It‘s time that ‚next gen‘ games look the part.

What's actually gonna happen is that. Spider Man 2 is gonna look at particular way and people will claim it looks better than the Matrix demo regardless of whether it does or not because they already built up that anticipation. Its kinda like Buyer Remorse.

For example I see this with ChiefDada all the time.

I don't know if people remember but I remember after the HFW demo, people were saying that HFW was only possible because of PS5's super fast SSD, I/O and Geometry Engine.

Yet now we know that it was not true and was simply just a cope.

So yes there are people who will claim that Spiderman 2 looks better than the Matrix regardless of what it actually looks like.
