East coast GAF- how bout this smoke?

Remember when California, Oregon and Washington were burning a few seasons ago, and Canada and other parts of the US got it in the face?

Sadly, this happens a lot more now.
 
All im saying is this shit better clear up before by the weeken. Im trying to go to the beach and get my sun tan on

I'm in the CNY area as well and while I enjoy unique events from time to time this one blows. My weather forecast says "smoke". Thankfully keeping the windows closed keeps most of the smell outside.

I never remember fires like this when I was a kid.
 
I feel like we usually get the Canadian Smoke over here in the Pac Northwest. Let the east coast have a lil taste.

the air was unbreathable yesterday afternoon, despite the comfy weather all the outdoor seating in my town was empty. Maybe slightly better today but will probably get worse later.

lol, sounds like a talking point. The truth is that wild fires are really complex and also vital to the ecosystem, years of fire fighting and fire mitigation just ends up making the situation worse and more volatile down the road. You can't fight nature forever.

They are even worse. Climate change has nothing to do with the majority of these fires, in fact some were started by careless campers or by tree hugging activists themselves. I wouldn't be surprised to see 'climate lockdowns' in Canada soon with the idiots in charge and the lemmings that follow them.

Left work yesterday in NJ and smelled fire and the air had some weird haze to it. This is what it looks like now. Smells like a bonfire and the air quality is awful. Wildfires in Canada blowing this shit all the way down here with no end in sight from what I've read.
 
Queens NY here and I had no idea about this whole wildfire business before I left my house for my nightly stroll last night. Thought somebody was burning some wood somewhere honestly.

It's really heavy out here as well. Poor Canadians, they must be hurting!
 
It was like this the last couple days in central-ish PA. Haven't been outside today. It was so weird being able to look directly at the sun through the haze. Also been really chilly last couple evenings, but don't know if it's related.

Send us 100,000 firefighters and a few trillion dollars and we can deal with it. That and cut your emissions by 50%.

Yeah, and I feel like all the sudden people give a shit because the east coast is getting it. It looked like fuckin Blade Runner outside my house for weeks a couple years ago but now NYC is getting a taste? Headline news!
