She said that he said that he didn't want to negotiate with them, and that he wanted to block their deal (or something along those lines, I don't have her exact tweet to hand).

What he actually said was that he views the deal as anticompetitive and he hopes the regulators do their job and block the deal.

I have never worked at a company where the CEO is not ON the earnings calls. It's incredibly common for them to be the one running the entire call.

But does PS even have their own earnings calls? He's not Sony CEO.

I don't think this is a big deal, but it's pretty strange for you to suggest most CEO's don't listen to those calls lol

That's not partial forecloser though.

More importantly, it's Activision doing it being an independent company. ABK asked MS to bid on the marketing deal. Microsoft declined. Had they accepted and won the bid, Xbox could have had that content.

Open market. Equal opportunities for all. Not available after one acquires ABK though.

I am not saying it is right or wrong. It's just ridiculous that this man (Jim) is stating the versions MUST be the same version; when currently they are not.

As for the devkits conversation, they have all right not to provide them.... but don't go bitching later about the versions not being the same.

You cant have your cake and eat it too.

He doesn't have to be on the calls unless they request him to be. He will be briefed before and after.

Not every company CEO for all divisions are on their earnings calls. Usually just the main CEO, CFO and board of directors.

You know what would solve that issue? Microsoft not buying out large publishers.

Xbox doesn't have the money to do it. Phil is lying when he says Xbox is operated as a separate profit/loss unit. Xbox don't have tens of billions to spend on publishers.

The guys been caught lying through his teeth an alarming amount.

It's pre-recorded but not edited. He wasn't prepared in advance for these questions it was just literally done at a different time in the exact same way as if he were in court.
