I want this to review 1/10 across the board just so RedFall and forspoken can feel good about themselves.

Gollum as dlc character in volcano high for the "picked on loner" story. His game sucked too so they can sympathize.

Contenders for most unwanted protagonist of 2023:

- Gollum

- Frey (Forspoken)

- they/them Dino bird freak from Goodbye Volcano High

I finished the first chapter and it's bad. Not so bad it's funny, just bad.

Not only is the art style horrible, the animation is too. It's also pretty janky - lots of freezes, missing frames, transitions etc. Very early 2000s New Grounds.

The writing isn't great, but also haven't really had a chance to get to anything meaningful yet in terms of drama/development etc. Just meeting the gang with their 'witty' banter. The pace is absolutely glacial, so getting through it is going to be a slog.

The rhythm game is actually fairly challenging, but mainly because it's a complete mess visually, and explains itself poorly. By the third song I think I only missed one note, and it's pretty fun once you get the hang of it.

The music is actually decent, although quite background/lounge music style. Not sure any of the songs are really going to stick.

Verdict: Regret

Thank you for your service. I was hoping it'd be bad enough to be a meme.

First mini review from the purples:

Credits rolling. That was nothing short of fantastic.

We have a banger on our hands people.

So now, we, as a community are obligated to review Bomb this game, but inverse to the usual methodology. We must Flood every review aggregate site with 10/10 sterling reviews. I want this troll to balloon in size to the point where in 2037, we're all chucklefucking as they announce Goodbye, Volcano High VIII - The Ice Age, on a triple A budget with gfx that actually physically melt the PS7.

Three years of delays and the game has the same jank?

WTF happend?

I love how fucking insular Era is. There are loads of posts about "being surprised," that no one is covering "one of the first wave of PS5 games announced," and that it "seems too high profile to be ignored,"

ROFLMAO
