Is it the complete game now? Or there will be another part?
I dont understand this type of posts. At this point it clear and devs themselves confirmed these games are not "remakes". They don't have same combat or same structure and same story. they are separate games than original FFVII.

Saying original FFVIIRemake is incomplete game is like saying any game that sequels the previous game was incomplete.

I just found out there's a twin pack of Remake + Rebirth for $69.99. Really sucks for me because I just bought Remake yesterday for $40. I wish PSN had Steam's refund policy...

Do you think the twin pack will come to xbox after the 3 months? Would be great for those to be able to play it.

I can't wait, so it's ps5 for me day one.

Already played it for an hour+. Not a huge deal, especially since I would prefer to have disc games, but I would've taken this deal if I knew it existed.
You also want finish the Remake before Rebirth comes so can you just jump straight to the game instead on release date you go through Remake before playing Rebirth.

I keep hearing this, but is there a physical version of this deal, or is just for digital?

Yeah definitely. I've been wanting the game for a while and just recently picked up a PS5. Gotta make sure I don't try to juggle too many games at one time though!

Just in case it wasn't clear, you can play Remake once you purchase the Twin Pack, or so it seems.

I'm not sure, but I assumed it was digital only.

Going by their past ps5 exclusives I doubt the game itself comes to xbox, part 1 is still exclusive.
I'm assuming it only goes to PC and Switch

I think he was just asking if this will complete the story - maybe he doesn't know they intent 3 parts total?

Some people don't want to accept they aren't just remastering FF7. This is not FF7, this is a new game in a different world that runs parallel to FF7.
Well, there's that but what people call "KH shit" is just Final Fantasy, lol. Plenty of FF's have incredibly wild (awesome) moments.

As a strong KH fan, I don't think it comes even close to the scale a lot of FF's do.

You say that like if it was really important to be there day one, but being late can have its advantages, like potential patches etc, I actually avoid playing games at launch now since you always have a much better experience when you wait a bit.

I personally want to play the game I'm excited about as soon as possible, if people want to wait thats their choice....they are stronger man than me.

Nomura is god and almost everything I've loved from square was thanks to him.
I bow before his name.

Fuck everyone who forced him to go from half zipper cyborgs to jack in FFO
Plus Kingdom Hearts is life.
I'll never get the Nomura hate, he's really my favorite creative person in the gaming industry.
I'll forever be sad about the fact that he couldn't finish his version of VS XIII / XV. This would have been the peak of gaming.

You guys must not know Max and his deep love for the FF series, specifically VII. It may look fake to you guys, but the way he goes in depth with his analysis of VII is better than most. He also explained how Nomura and his team would watch his reaction videos for inspiration and to raise their morale during the tough times of development.

He can like ff has much as he can, and it seems he likes but react the way he reacted to the videos is of an 5 old Child, sorry to be so honest.

This comes off kind of as a bit of a strange insult to use on a forum of adults wasting the little time they have on the planet playing and talking about video games.

Does this look any better to you? Another youtuber giving their reactions. It's all pretty normal stuff if you watch any youtubers, they ooh and aaah and make all weird faces all the time. If they just sit there stoic no one is going to subscribe and watch them.

Max is a weird one though, for a guy who doesn't like turn-based RPGs (afaik), he sure likes FFVII.

They said in an interview the side quests are 2x a long as the main content. So just skip them? If they're saying it's ~100 hours, you have a 30 hour main quest and 60 hours of option minigame exploration. They've said the side quests are mostly comprised of exploration by exploring all the hard to reach sections of the map with unique chocobos that can fly/climb/etc and mini-games (there are more than the original, and they have harder difficulties). I have no clue exactly the number of hours of chocobo breeding you had to put in the original for the gold S+ one, but I'm pretty sure it was 20+ hours, so I don't think it'll be much different here.

But people loved that about the original, the game just opens up after Midgar and you're free to do whatever you want, spend 30 hours breeding chocobos or wandering around finding secrets or whatever. Or just beeline to Sephiroth.

Sure but even if I skip them, if the main story is longer than 20 hours it's guaranteed to have some real low points. And the side stuff will be absolute trash (except maybe the golden saucer minigames)
Square is simply unable to make more than 20 hours or so of good content while maintaining high production values

So I can expect they are like FFXIII, FFXIII-2 and FFXIII-3 ?

I will still wait that the game is "complete" before going for it.

100% this.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is not a remake in the traditional sense. They remade the story as well. No one at Square ever claimed this was the full 3 discs of the PS1 classic. Only a dumbass would complain when Square have came out ahead of time and explained that both Remake and Rebirth is not the end of this Final Fantasy story.

I'm stealing your sequel line at the end.

These things are clear to you because you've played the game. Remember that not everyone has, and most people who haven't also probably don't follow developer commentary very closely, so their perception that the new FFVII games are a straightforward remake of the original game is pretty understandable.

I'm still convinced this other timeline is a red herring and Clouds alternate memories portrayed in a new fresh and exciting way. Sephiroth is trying to fully manifest his PTSD and psychosis.

That's the reason he can be so excited about the games, because he has retained his inner child. It may come off as douchey or obnoxious to a more even-tempered person ("a fully grown adult").

I just wish I could be that excited about anything again.

Until they play it, pay attention to the events that occur and (whether they like it or not) come to the conclusion that "Oh shit, it's not a remake, it's a sequel! the word "remake" as a subtitle refers to sephiroths plan!"
Unless, ya know, they're fuckin' dumb.

I think that's a good point, it's good to be in tune with your inner child and some people grow up and lose themselves by giving up the things they love or loved. There's a difference between being in tune with it vs living as a child would and as far as I can see Max is the former.

The guy runs a successful YouTube channel and other streams, so all credit to to him.

Okay my theories on rebirth after watching the trailer:

The guy in black cloak in Junon is Revees.

End scenario 1: City of the Ancients plays out the same as in og (and they should then have the rest of the northern continent as post-credit solemnness.

Scenario 2: Cloud dies.

Regarding those in the black cloak, Rebirth's synopsis states:

The Shinra Resistance Committee, backed by Wutai's interim government, declares war on the company; figures shrouded in black robes carry with them the corpse of Jenova, a veritable calamity from another world; and the Weapons—fierce and monstrous guardians of the planet—have recently awakened.

So make your guess based on that...

This is close to my theory. Someway somehow, Zach is gonna be part of the team. Once we hit the City of the Ancients everything gonna play out like OG FFVII with the main cast. Meaning Sephiroth defeated the fate thingies. Zach takes wind of this somehow and runs off to save Aerith. Aerith goes to pray and then our boy Sephi shows up. Zach tries to save her, and they both get stabbed. Cloud then sends them both off into the Lifestream in a double whammy of an emotional event, Oda style. And then we have a revenge filled game ending battle with JENOVA and then it continues on to a similar version of FFVII Remake Sephiroth.

Anyone else remember how stupidly insane ruby weapon was back on PS1.

I can only imagine how much worse this will be

they already confirmed that FFVII Remake will be a trilogy of 3 part. after this Rebirth, next game will be the last game.

however im not suprise if there is gonna be a fourth game that will be announced later. not a continuation but more like a spin off. im guessing since they keep teasing parallel multiverse between original storyline where Zack died vs the current main timeline where he died, after the game ended in next part, they gonna release additional game that revolve around the story in that alternate universe where Zack is the main character instead. basically, Crisis Core 2. it will solidifies the main game storyline where the outcome as Cloud main character is the best timeline
