Based on what they shown it looks like it'll be an adaptation of one of the short stories from Sword of Destiny book.

Good choice to pick Cockle for Geralt. This will definitely encourage more people to check it out. That said, if this project is from the same team which made the Nightmare of the Wolf animated movie, my excitement is pretty low. It looked nice visually, but the story was a mess and ending was straight up bizarre.

I don't trust Netflix one bit when it comes to adapting the Witcher. Everything they've put out in this universe has been varying degrees of crap.

1) fix the thread title
2) A Little Sacrifice is an amazing short story, one of my favourites
3) I have zero doubt Netflix will butcher it

Watching the trailer made me realise how much I miss Cockle's Geralt

Sad that the next witcher game wont have Geralt as the lead

Well lets hope that the fucking witcher is the protagonist this time in this The Witcher show. Have the writers show some respect Netflix!

Yeah, that's the thing. It could be great in theory, see Cyberpunk anime.

Except I have 0 trust that Netflix won't butcher the thing considering how Witcher series went post Season 1.

Witcher show-runners legit hate the source material, IMO.
