Based on what they shown it looks like it'll be an adaptation of one of the short stories from Sword of Destiny book.

Good choice to pick Cockle for Geralt. This will definitely encourage more people to check it out. That said, if this project is from the same team which made the Nightmare of the Wolf animated movie, my excitement is pretty low. It looked nice visually, but the story was a mess and ending was straight up bizarre.

Live action everything has been played out to death.

The novelty of "what the characters would look like in real life" has worn off.

Now if the animation sucks (like berserk), well that's another matter entirely.

Yeah, that's the thing. It could be great in theory, see Cyberpunk anime.

Except I have 0 trust that Netflix won't butcher the thing considering how Witcher series went post Season 1.

Witcher show-runners legit hate the source material, IMO.
