I wonder how much is related to user input

Like the subtle wind changing how the hair moves etc.

But it's getting crazy. Can't wait for games to actually implement AI in a good way

AI porn is gonna CRUSH IT. Not only do they have a bazillion hours of it to learn from, but without a woman to stay "I'm not sticking that thing in there!" the level of brutality is gonna be crazy. Step-bro with this 12" schlong going to pound town on his 4'11" "uh yeah, she is totally over 18" step-sis while they do actually look like they could be related is just gonna break the planet.

I think we really do need to learn from the Butlerian Jihad and just agree as a species that 4 gig vram, 20 nm processors, and a 2060 is "good enough" and stop advancing ourselves into hell :P

Honest question: even if we wanted to, how would we actually bestow human rights to these AI generated short video clip people?

The United Nations says that human rights include the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, and the right to work and education.

The clips above aren't machines that actually want these things, they were clips generated by humans (using a composite of human images/videos), that were created by someone typing in something like "show a short video clip of a black woman holding a sign that says 'AI should have human rights' while smiling at the camera"
 
AI computers are freeloaders. They lived rent free in my house for decades.

Not even roaches get that treatment.

Since they are not human or exist in the physical realm, I'm perfect happy advocation for any detailed depiction of any A.I. creation, as anything that happens to them can be reset/washed away and isn't real, anyway.

I remember going to an AI course once. On ice, in a bunch of coolers, they had what they called "the girls". They laid out on the tables what was quite simply the reproductive organs of a cow. My task was to take the tube used to deliver the semen and insert it into the vagina and reproductive tract without puncturing the thin sack of flesh.

Oh wait, wrong AI. Hopefully I didn't traumatize anyone.

Anyways, to finish a story I decided that job wasn't for me.

I'm TERRIFIED of how addictive an AI girlfriend that can send you pics, respond appropriately (well, with feigned enthusiasm and awe just like a normal girl) and possibly even generate photoreal VR content and "physical" interaction with those sensory devices, is gonna be.

I would say bio women are gonna have to really up their game to compete but I think an AI BOYFRIEND is gonna replace us all! If it runs off ads so it can actually pay for dates....fuck we are screwed!

You need people willing to face rejection, because the AI you are paying for will never reject you they are just going to be a toy. A real relationship requires you to navigate unmet expectations and desires. It may help some sociopaths but for the most part I would encourage people to just go talk to other people.

I had lots of great dates in college and before marriage, but I got rejected a lot too, but that never stopped me from asking the next one.

Thats a healthy perspective that I had to learn as well back in my single days. Once you let go of the "OMG this is gonna be THE ONE!" desperation aura the success rate skyrocketed.

But I figure most folks are getting almost all the 'perceived' value of a relationship via digital means, which is where an AI can dominate. It can't cook you a meal (yet) but it can help inform a decision about what to order and then chat with you while you eat, tell you what to wear for that job interview tomorrow, yell at you to take out the trash and feed the cat, and then gush about the latest Star Wars show (or dunk on it, if that what you trained it to do), then finish with a VR wank session, pretty much what a damn large chunk of guys require of a woman :P

I bet the appeal as a social companion for the elderly would be an actual value add to society, I certainly know a few old folks that are quite isolated in their daily life and something that can talk about John Wayne and pick a Turner Classic Movie or WW2 documentary would be right up their alley.

Only a matter of time before this happens. AI will use our empathy against and demand equal rights. That's when we're truly fucked.
