Alan Wake 2: The Lake House Expansion Releases October

Maybe the expansion release will trigger a big sale. I guess I should have used the Epic coupon on this at the holidays, it doesn't seem to drop all that much.

So this game is woke or not? I really want buy it but Sweet Baby is there...so I don't know.

It's not woke and people saying it is are stupid. The black main character says she hates white people at one point, but it's to point out how much she hates herself and how it's her that's the bigot who doesn't try to understand others.

There was one dialogue where they a female character had a wife and it felt forced outside of that it was very enjoyable.

People saying the black female lead was a diversity hire but she's actually a good character.

It's a good, atmospheric, well-made game man, it's very twin-peaksey like the 1st game, just be aware of a couple of things :
- There's not much action
- Performance mode is kinda wonky on the PS5
- It's FSR shit-town

...other than that...if you like slow, atmospheric games you should give it a try

So I played the game and beat it but I don't remember who Kiran is, the name sounds familiar though. I'm in!

I got myself so hyped up at first thinking it was Control 2's announcement xD.

I've yet to play Allan Wake 2 (and the first one). Hopefully its PS5 Pro patch is great and then I'll hop right in.

Don't understand how this company remains in business, game under performs and doesn't recoup development cost, then they go and make DLC for it?

The dlc cost is probably included in the budget and there's still time to make their money back especially with a physical release coming.

Making DLC for an exisiting game is probably much cheaper than a brand new project. Why would they say no to more money?

Looking forward to it. I haven't played Night Springs because I wanted to play both content packs back to back, so I'm eager to dive back into this. Game got some hate and didn't hit sales, but I absolutely loved it. Other than a single line from the FBI agent about white men, I didn't notice any diversity inserts in this game.

Anybody have any idea on whether it'll be updated to support FSR 3 and frame generation? Desperately need it to have a stable framerate.

Still waiting to play it on the PS5 Pro

Of course I played Alan Wake 1, the second is tempting.

Do we know pricing? After finishing the game, I kinda deleted it from my mind. I didn't even know there was a first DLC that already released.

I love how this game looks and feels. Max Payne meets Twin Peaks. Looking forward to try this on the PS5 Pro.

You can always get the premium DLC upgrade which is discounted frequently, in fact,I got it about 2 weeks ago for €12 on PSN (includes both the first and the second DLC).

Anyway, looking forward to playing it on my PS5 Pro 😁

I assume the DLCs don't get the story any further then the main game, do they?

This one features the FBC agent you meet in the game, so it'll forward a universe wide narrative, but not specifically Alan's story maybe.

I may be wrong but the DLC seems to be only a part of the expansion pass.
