I get your point, but for me it goes beyond the hair style. It's not just that.
Like many said, her face got even more wider in comparison (she already has a wide face), which makes her look more manly sadly.
But hey, that's just my two scents.
There's a clear quality jump from HZD to FW in terms of likeness, but still not close enough.

Looks like they just pushed her hairline forward but that makes her face looks disporportiate from the bottom; accentuating her cheekbones and jaw.Her dimensions haven’t been changed at all though?
Basically made her forehead smaller in the remaster so it looks a little wierd.

Can't be done as easily, not just because of different angle and lighting but because a perfect match is impossible due to Guerrilla correcting Hoekstra distincitve asymmetry, as they did originally with Zero Dawn:

The scanning is accurate but in game it's a different story somehow.
Can you compare with this pic out of curiosity?

This actually shows the problems with HFW design - left one has "oval" shape (same as actress) which is percieved as "right one" and pretty while right one was made more squarish and if you put oval inside it will look that there extra "fat" over perfect oval so is a perception.
Hair hides imperfection. The right one looks like girl has nearly perfect face shape, and left one clearly shows that's not the case.The only difference is the hair, hairstyle changes the looks
