Arc Raiders | Gameplay Reveal

This looks utterly generic....
I´ll probably have forgotten this trailer and the game behind it exists in 10 minutes.
Could be fun, but right now this just feels like "been there, done that xyz times".

forever winter looks much better/more creative. This does look pretty but beyond that - anyway, I'm not the target audience.

Feels like The Division in some ways. Also seems like the gameplay from the reveal trailer made it more exciting. I'll still get this, but definitely feels different from the initial showing.

Maybe you have to play it to 'get it', because that was extremely slow and boring to watch.

40$ price tag is yikes. Either the studio knows this game is going to be a hit or they think it will fail and are just trying to milk gamers to retrieve some of their investment

Recent closed beta was received somewhat mixed. I see no reason why long term, after ample feedback, that the game can't be massively improved upon. Hopefully it's not shut down within 6 months

Visually it is incredible, very cool the artistic part .... but it is a game as a service and does not seem innovative enough to hold in such a saturated market.

Does anyone know if it has a campaign like The Division?

Yeah as an extraction shooter i feel like this is DOA, especially at that price. Should've stayed at the original concept

This guy is an Embark fanboy content creator. He's been diving into The Finals and ARC Raiders pretty deeply the last few years. A pretty good watch if you're interested... (Skip his intro, it's fluff)

You either go f2p or you die a meaningless death on release because no one will buy it at 39.99 when there are 100's of free alternatives.

Saying something is "generic" is so played out. Actually looks great imo

Forever Winter is amazingly bad or very early access. Also its strictly 4 player co op pve game, not the same

Agree that forever winter has lots of rough bits. However it is certainly trying to be different. Arc Raiders not so much

Really hope this isn't free to play. Just go the Hunt Showdown model. It will combat cheaters somewhat at least.

And I don't think there are that many good free to play extraction shooters to begin with? Not that instantly come to mind in any case.

I got into the most recent test, played one game, and that was enough for me.

I don't know, maybe it's just not for me. My take away was the audio was great. But everything else just felt like been there done that.

Looks like the sort of game that a lot of streamers and 12-20 years olds will play.
So it will probably be successful.

But looks dull as hell to me.

At least they know how to edit and upload videos. True 21:9 without bars. Not that Ubicrap bullshit with fake 21:9 ratio that give you black bars left, right AND top and bottom.

This looks so much worse than the first trailer. If I was playing the game where there were giant robots I might be interested. This, nah.

Wrong audience. The newer big streamers and their audiences don't care about stuff like this unless it's sponsored.

This was built for the 30+ year olds who want a new spin on The Division.

Narrator: "That was false."

The two most successful Extraction Shooters (Tarkov and Hunt) are P2P.
Not a big fan of the genera personally, but what does the console landscape look like in terms of this genre?

I thought they put together a fantastic looking trailer, some of the angles and shots look great and fun. Not for me since I am old and crusty...but it looks cool!

Love that the video is ultrawide. even if the FOV seems kind of narrow. I'm sure that will be adjustable.
Really love that there's a vehicle closely resembling a Honda CRX.
The game's setting, atmosphere and sound are really nice.
Gameplay also looks good.

Definitely going to pick this up.

Nexon is on the roll right now. The Finals, The First Descendant and Arc Raiders releasing so close to each other and dev teams that actually listens to the community. I have no doubt this will be great with Embark behind the wheel.

Why will this work where DMZ failed? How will it resolve the issues in the Dark Zone from D2?

They had perfect timing and buy in to essentially replace Destiny (or steal casual players from Warframe) and have pretty much ruined it. It also has competition right in its face.

This is guaranteed to be a fail. Just like Concord. The genre has been rejected multiple times on console.

While it did receive a downgrade, this still looks pretty cool to me?

Anyway this is kind of more in line with what I expected from Concord with the initial teaser. Instead we just got a very basic PVP game

I bet Marathon eats it's lunch tho
