On PCIt looks good but, don't get me wrong, am i wrong to expect way higher graphical fidelity in 2024?
Where are all those UE5 type of graphics that make you jaw drop?
It's also a compressed image taken of a screen. Any quality that would ever be there is gone.It looks good but, don't get me wrong, am i wrong to expect way higher graphical fidelity in 2024?

Really now?On PC
Cropped and off screen shots. It looks good but, don't get me wrong, am i wrong to expect way higher graphical fidelity in 2024?

Max settings on PC won't look noticeable better than the XSX version?Really now?
Yep. Hellblade 2, Black Myth Wukong and Silent Hill 2 all look very goodReally now?
Really now?
Probably not.Max settings on PC won't look noticeable better than the XSX version?
All these games are on consolesYep. Hellblade 2, Black Myth Wukong and Silent Hill 2 all look very good
They obviously look a lot better on a high end PCProbably not.
All these games are on consoles
meh. Maybe a bit better, sure. They obviously look a lot better on a high end PC
A far cry from the level of graphics they showed 3 years ago in the "gameplay" reveal:

No they don't, many PC titles push the lumen to hardware over software which makes a huge difference, the IQ is obviously much further ahead. Honestly comparing BMW on the console to high end PC, there's a big gulf. UE5 titles are super heavy so you need very juicy hardware to make the most out of themmeh. Maybe a bit better, sure.
Anyway - I was countering this statement. "ON PC" is not the right answer. These games are also on consoles and pc only makes them look better... a bit? some? Wouldn't say A LOT BETTER. Depending on few outliers, games look about the same everywhere

Don't be such a fool rofif, these enhancements you call insignificant are what consoles of the future are going to push. I know you downplay them now because you dislike PC but this is just a matter of fact. I already gave you examples but you chose to ignore them.which are? what titles?
The differences are insignificant at the very most.
Silent Hill 2 is 30fps in quality mode on ps5, so yeah you can play it at 480fps on pc but it doesn't make it feel next gen or significantly next gen looking.
Few features here and there so you have to zoom in, is not that significant. Especially now with pssr on ps5 pro
These are features. The games end up being the same mostly on all platforms.Don't be such a fool rofif, these enhancements you call insignificant are what consoles of the future are going to push. We should tell the guys at unreal, all their hard work and talent is going to waste pushing the revolutionary UE5 feature set. It just doesn't matter apparently lol. These are features. The games end up being the same mostly on all platforms.
I think even going from fsr2 to pssr is bigger jump than non nanite to nanite. This shit doesn't matter.
And as far as I know, there are lumen and other ue5 featured games on consoles just as well.
I get it you can 90% to 110% on pc... but it doesn't make anything feel next gen more than it is now
Imo the biggest difference is still Alan Wake 2 pc vs ps5 (even pro) but I still wouldn't call it great or next gen.We should tell the guys at unreal, all their hard work and talent is going to waste pushing the revolutionary UE5 feature set. It just doesn't matter apparently lol.

Don't feed the troll that just got a PS5 Pro that, by his logic, also provides insignificant better looking games. We should tell the guys at unreal, all their hard work and talent is going to waste pushing the revolutionary UE5 feature set. It just doesn't matter apparently lol.

because they are improved. For what's essentially 250-300$ the improvement is about as big as getting new gpu upgrade. Never claimed otherwise.Odd position to take for someone who picked up a PS5 Pro and has been commenting about how improved games are on it.
freaking parity! That is some low quality BVH there. Hopefully the PC version gets that hardware Lumen relatively fast. Appartly it will ship with console level software Lumen![]()
To be honest, which third party UE game has ever done that ?It looks good but, don't get me wrong, am i wrong to expect way higher graphical fidelity in 2024?

Parts of Stalker still look better then a lot of modern games like the skyboxes.Imagine playing a Stalker for the graphics
I can't help myself but I have to respond to you. Are you kidding me, a bit better on PC....?!? You have games like Alan Wake 2 that have full path tracing or Star Wars Outlaws going for hefty ray traced effects on top of just being able to crank everything else to higher settings. If you want to see the kind of advanced lighting you're maybe gonna get on PS6 (big maybe) you play right now on PC. This has always been the case, I really don't know what else to say other than, troll post on your part?meh. Maybe a bit better, sure.

I've said there are exceptions and AW2 was one of themI can't help myself but I have to respond to you. Are you kidding me, a bit better on PC....?!? Leave the PC talk for those that know what they are talking about.I've said there are exceptions and AW2 was one of them
I know more about pc gaming than any of so called xbox/now pc fanboys here.Leave the PC talk for those that know what they are talking about.
You should do another playthrough of Forspoken, that would keep you busy instead of trolling online.
There's a lot more games than AW 2 though, come on now. Even in the now rather homogenous way of developing for all major platforms from the start, PC allows you to future proof your game by making it scale up above current hardware even if it's not RT related.I've said there are exceptions and AW2 was one of them
