Begging for patch (cyberpunk) is a new low IMO

One of the reasons why consoles suck to be honest

No scalability if you bought a new hardware like on PC, no mods.

And if they decided to grace you with a shitty upgrade, they charge you 10$ for it. Including the company that is selling you the hardware even lolz. Just scams

While OP has been hoisted by his own petard.

The point is still valid.

Most games released over the last 10 years have been woeful in terms of optimization, there seems to be trend that it's acceptable to release broken games and patch them 1,2,3,4 years later..... which isnt acceptable.

Given another chance
Not sure this needed a thread. Nothing wrong with people wanting the best possible experience on their new hardware.
Whether they achieve that or not is upto the devs. Some will bother others won’t.
It’s in Sony’ interest though that many devs jump onboard to sell more hardware for one example.
I mean look at the state of PSVR. There could have been a wealth of content on launch if Sony would have had the devs of previous PSVR1 onboard to bring their titles to PSVR2.

That is true.
But when CDPR releases their next game, some people will remember the lack of support.
More like they will remember that they lied to their customers and released a game without many features they advertised. Biggest clusterfuck of the last few years.

Well said devs owed consumers a working product on launch and failed to deliver it while being happy to take people's money, so i think a ps5 pro patch isn't asking for much. I mean the hello games devs have launched nonstop free expansions to make up for there launch fumble AND they released a ps5 pro patch while being wayyyyyyyyyyy smaller of a company compared to cd projekt red. So spare me with the excuses and defense for this massive company.

Exposing the sinister cartel of retailers who allow companies to pay for advertising space.
Op is getting roasted but the game is 4 years old at this point. This is like days gone getting a remaster and no one wants that.

The game is still being supported, it got a huge patch yesterday. Adding PS5 Pro support is exactly what CD Project ought to have done, it's not at all comparable with developing a remaster of the game. :messenger_unamused:

Those were just his dark console-peasant times

So in summary:

Because we never ask for patches or fixes for PC games, no sir? In the case of cyberpunk the latest patch literally fixes things on Intel's new processors because people who purchased them have been asking for fixes/patches, both on the game dev side (where applicable) and Intel's side:

Except DG isn’t pushing a full suite of industry leading RT features that weren’t available on the base console that could be added to the Pro. And no I’m not talking about Path Tracing.

Give them a break, they probably saw all the PC people begging for ports of stuff like Bloodborne and wanted to join in.

What do we consider begging though?
Asking a dev to update their highly popular game (that just had a big expansion come out last year) to support a new and more powerful console seems reasonable.

Demanding they do so, or attacking them for not updating their game is different though

Hilarious thread when the vast majority of PC warriors never stop bitching about optimization and asking for patches.
Tbf there's a huge difference between asking for straightforward improvements vs asking for a broken or incomplete game to be fixed.
