You ever walk into a vinyl store? Would you just randomly look at the 'new' section when walking in and then leave to complain when you don't see what you like? No? Then do what you'd do at the vinyl store, search by category, ask around for recommendations, look up reviews, etc.
There are helpful people and services in many different places that will help you find something. Better than letting yourself randomly get upset at a pandora's box that's already been opened for years.

If you look at the world rankings there's loads of them that just platinum shovelware.

Either you go full (classic) Nintendo and have an iron grip on the curation of your frontend, or you go the libertarian Valve route and let anything go (and let the market decide). What is it now?

I don't care anymore since I stopped buying games on PSN in favour of Steam or other priorities but SIE seriously needs to erase all the crap games on PSN.
