I'd be interested in the upgrade model with a chip revision and OLED screen. Nintendo and Valve have taught me to never buy another launch model ever again.
Nop.. switch is never going to be a third party machine for me so it would be only for the few NEW exclusives nintendo chooses to launch eventually... and they are too far and apart for me to justify.
Im not working atm so when I find a job get some spare cash for each why not. Will give my old original model to my daughter when I do. She has a game already. She can borrow any of my Mario games.
The true answer is "probably at some point" but as of right now I'm firmly in the "no" category.
Other than Metroid, Nintendo hasn't really made games I like since the 90s (and even Metroid was iffy for a while as I'm not big on Prime). The performance of games on the Switch is atrocious as well. But in spite of all that they've had some really enjoyable collabs and 3rd party games like Hyrule Warriors and Bayonetta (not 3) so I imagine at some point there will be a 'must have' game that forces my wallet to open.
Mario Kart's graphics made me think that many Nintendo exclusive Switch 2 games might be cross-gen. I have Switch 1 so... The lack of excitement in the presentation completely killed my hype too. I'm not planning to buy it for now, but I might consider it in the future. Let's see some more Switch 2 news/games.
I wish all the best for ninny and all the fans but got 0 interest in handheld/console that is so extremly underpowered, hope they put lots of preasure on sony tho
I want to but I don't play my switch that much. Got it on launch week and then took the amtrak down to DC to see the cherry blossoms. People were excited to see it in the wild which was.really fun.
it's a Switch 2 and it's got a new Mario Kart and Nintendo 1st party games. Outside of something unheard of happening I can't see a scenario where I'd change my mind about wanting it.
If this works. The switch might be Nintendo's form factor going forward. It takes what worked from older Nintendo consoles minus the dual screen. Put tbh until a direct etc. my switch. Is good enough for me. If my digital library can all come over to the switch 2 then hell yeah that's a bonus. But what's the hook? I need answers.
No, it actually makes perfect sense. Most of us have bought every Nintendo console that has ever been released. Over 75% of this board is currently answering YES we want to buy Switch 2. Lord willing, over 75% of us will be buying this when it comes out. How is that crazy, my man?
Seems like most of the comments are the mad 25% who always hated Nintendo and never gave them a chance. My bet is that most of those 25% grew up during the Playstation generation and did not have a Nintendo when they were a kid. If they did, they would be part of the 75%. They are just too young to appreciate what Nintendo actually is. Not caring for Nintendo and calling yourself a gamer is crazy. Sure maybe you just have different tastes, but honestly that's a woke snowflake mindset imho. We aren't special. We all have the same tastebuds. I've played your games and found them lacking. I need Nintendo to soothe the savage beast inside me.
There are some Nintendo games i'd buy if they came to PC, but I'm not going to buy hardware I don't want just to play them. What's Switch 2 as a platform getting me that I don't already have in better form on the Steam Deck?
