GameStop has updated its catalog with the game Digimon Story: Time Stranger for PS5 and Xbox Series.

I'd be down for another game in the style of Cyber Sleuth.
It was a bit low budget but I enjoyed the combat and evolution system, and unlike the Pokemon games at least the story was half decent.

Hopefully it's a proper sequel though and not another story recycling all the assets like Hacker's Memory.

Rumors say Bamco after the success of cyber sleuth(can't forget that it was a low-budget vita game) were going to invest highly in an AAA story game.

Its been in development for 7 years, i really believe this game can sell around 10 million or more. It can be the AAA Pokemon game we never had

It's their most successful Digimon game ever and it was a fucking Vita port. They nailed it.

Yes, and with the growing disappointment in pokemon games, i feel that if this is actually good, and looks at least like a late gen ps4 game, its going to do ssurprising numbers.

I bought Cyber Sleuth 5 times to support Digimon, but I really hope they've improved the game since. Because Cyber sleuth was unbalanced, poorly translated, and incredibly boring for a Digimon story. It had lots of good things, and potential, but it just totally failed the landing for me. Fingers crossed this one will be what I hoped CS would've been. And fingers crossed other people will buy it, because I don't have the extra money to buy a game x5 anymore

Looks like it actually has some fantasy to the Digi world this time around, which is a huge plus. CSs diginet or whatever was so boring. And having a dub is maybe a plus, it at least means they aren't just machine translating the game this time, and it won't have a bunch of nonsensical errors. The bad is it means some California ****** is probably going to put in lame tumble jokes.

Considering the shit that happened in the first game with some of the characters I'm wondering if the whole Spirit Evolve thing could come into it.
