It's been a while since I redeemed an AMD code but I seem to recall having to log into an account on the PC with the new part, then verifying said part with software which then gets you the code which can then be used wherever.
 
Turned on anti-lag in radeon cp and I'm surprised how good it feels to play, probably because mh is a more deliberate game in its movements so the framegen input lag isn't as noticeable.

Man the way people describe the "horror" of framerate mode on base PS5, this no way near as bad people describe it.
 
For all the rookie hunters in here, I recommend crafting:
chatacabra helm/mail/belt, and quematrice braces/greaves.
This will give you flinch free lvl 2 and speed eating lvl 3, both are amazing skills even all the way into endgame.

OK I will take the risk. I loved dragons dogma 2, i loved lost planet (no connection at all... just slow, lumbering animations remind me of parts of that game) but I never played any monster hunter.
ps5 disc should be here tomorrow. Runs ok on my pc too (benchmark) but I gotta put that Pro to some use
 
Umm...is there a reason why my game completely skipped the shader compile thing and went directly into the start screen?

Already adjusted the settings and i'm currently seeing the first cutscene, is the SC after that?

Only issues I've encountered is stuttering at the camp(just got there) on Balanced mode. Will test Performance mode and see what happens.

S SilentSpecter I use HBG and Funlance. Might dabble in SA/CB/DB but the loss of on demand Demon Flight is still lame. I need to test Focus mode Great Sword at some point but I love Shield HBG too much.

For fellow Rise/Sunbreak players you can change Seikret controls to call/mount to holding B just like in Rise and Manual mode Seikret is better then Auto 100%.
 
This is probably the fastest hammer has ever been, though I'm not a big fan of the level 3 charge, rise's level 3 was better imo, because you could either stop for the super smash, or not lose too much forward momentum with the alternate forward moving smash; I find myself using level 2 here more often so I don't lose that mobility.
 
5h in, ended up playing maybe 3h. This autoplay bullshit is beyond annoying, could have made it cutscenes since the game doesnt let you do anything and plays itself for 10 minutes at a time.

Missed out on loot from 2 large monsters already since theres no pause and i had to go afk right after killing a monster, meanwhile autoplay has hijacked my pc and walked me to town. Did they hire some mobile designers or what?

Makes me want to start over, but then ill have to suffer through the same thing again. If the little gameplay thats there wasnt so good id end up dropping this.

Focus Mode and Palico aren so busted it's insane.

Back in Rise you had to use multiple Palicos because each one had a different ability
 
Really enjoying what I've played so far.
Doom mongering really was blown out of proportion.
I usually main LS but Bow is the shit.
Did I hear mention you can carry 2 weapons now? Or is that not a thing?
Edit: Ah yes, just found out it is, cool!

You can later you can carry two, I'm currently using LS as my main and Hammer as secondary weapon.

Thinking of going sword and shield for that versatility

I played a bit of World, but it's been ages and I'm by no means a pro at this.

Im still struggling to decide, in World I used a great sword but kinda want to try something a bit faster that has more options

Sword and shield is good because you can do both slash damage with your sword and stun damage with your shield and also can use items without needing put away your weapons. You also block attacks which means you can us Wilds new skill perfect block to clash with monsters.

Just played for like 2 hours, thank god they fixed the hit-stops, i'm not sure if they are as good as world but they ae definitely much better than the beta, i still need to digest the new bonk and thrust sound effects of lance and hammer tho :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

First 2 monsters were unfortunately super easy, but the cutscene fo quematrice was peak cinema:lollipop_squinting:

Hammers and lance feel great but i prefer the third charged attack of the hammer from world (the one you did in power mode), it had a longer animation but it was way cooler.

Focus mode seems a bit too op, i'm gonna try my best to ignore it but popping the wounds is satisfying as hell:messenger_pensive:

I'm honestly impressed with performance mode in based PS5 especially when people said it was "total mess" or something....sure it has low textures here and there but nothing distracts me from overall visuals.

My only complain for the visuals is because they decided to do more "realistic" with their faces, it looks good in high quality cutscenes but in-game low quality cutscenes with stiff facial expression, they look extra bad.

Also remember this game is very similar to mhw, you have a capture net, try to capture every new endemic life you see.
 
yeah this is pretty much MHW2, it's a bit lighter on monsters than MHW but nearly everything else is the same, and it plays real good.
event quests are gonna be wild!

Saw some who were interested in playing together, so I setup a NeoGAF squad to get things started (if someone wants lead/sub-lead let me know). Just made it to the oil area, and ya the forest is really nice, finally some color!!!

Been taking my sweet time , crafting all the LR weapons as new monsters show up.

You only get 1 first playthrough, don't rush it.

Yeah so far I made Quemstrice's LS and Chatacabra's Hammer......I'm so glad we have cool and goofy looking weapons are back instead the boring design we got in World.
