Holy fucking shit it's good.
Episode 1 down. Amazing first 15 minutes.
I am surprised at the flushing of the cast, and how it's shot. It's clearly higher budget, but the shakey cam is annoying.
It feels like it's missing the grittiness that season 3 had.
Now watching episode 2 to see how it goes. Strong start though.
End of episode 2 is perfection.
Episode 2 is better overall seeing Fisk in action and Matt too.
I'm not a fan of a lot of these new characters. His new love interest is a major step down from ladies in the past… he's been with major hotties.
I get with the title and what they wanted was a cast reset but… seems like a bit of a misfire to do it since the original cast is loved lol. I'm unsure if they're going the comic route with it… if so it'll end up being fine. If it's a real death then yeah idk man. Bad call.
Stupid FUD in the first place since Disney owned Marvel Television when the original series was made. Hell Disney owned Marvel throughout the entirety of the MCU with the exception of Iron Man. They bought Marvel in 2009.doesn't feel "Disney-fied" at all.

He was going to be in Spider-Man 4 until Sony demanded another multiverse movie after all the money No Way Home made. It was going to be Spider-Man and Daredevil street level trying to figure out how to deal with the Hulk.Sounds like Daredevil is also going to be in the Avengers movie.
Oh, thats easy. DD just gets some vibranium bo-sticks and beats Hulk nearly to death, then they proceed to drain every bar in Hell's Kitchen. Spidey can be the designated driver. Apparently. Who knew? This is decent?
I actually like that idea. That could have been very cool.He was going to be in Spider-Man 4 until Sony demanded another multiverse movie after all the money No Way Home made. It was going to be Spider-Man and Daredevil street level trying to figure out how to deal with the Hulk.

I will say this season is more in line for daredevil actually using his kit from the comics. Even swinging around the city.
It doesn't look good and they try to hide it with fast moving camera and nighttime shots.
The violence still seems to be there which is good but somehow feels off. Almost like they are trying to go through it fast or with quick cuts. Felt like Netflix had a slower tempo intentionally so it felt meaty. I'm coming off watching all of season 3 just this last week and a half so it's very fresh.
Also Kirsten McDuffie is a major miscast.
This is her in the comics…

Daredevil comics the best place to start is Frank Miller with Man without Fear and Born Again. Two quick and easy to digest books without much fluff. Older so it may not be the "best" by todays standards but sets the base for anything of him you want to read after by any other authors.Yes it is fantastic
Yeah but the show does look better than the Netflix show and it looks like they were given the proper budget
I agree with you there even though I love the fight scenes so far.
I think the actresses who play those two roles in the show do a good job. I agree that they should have went the more attractive route with them in regards to looks. Matt Murdock dating Aunties
My issue with the Daredevil show on Netflix is the second half of Season 2 I especially didn't like. I felt some of the fights near the end looked like it belonged in a CW show.
And I'm not saying Netflix show is bad though, I'm just saying there's some stuff I didn't like. As for Season 3, that's my favorite season
It was funny though since everytime Bulleye was throwing stuff, I was reminded of this character from Mystery Men

What I'm happy about especially with the new Daredevil show
What I was annoyed about with the MCU is how most of the villains stay dead after one movie. Bulleye surviving is a good call and I'm happy they stuck with Foggy dying. I also think Karan Page should have died too but that's because was never a fan of her character in the show
And I really like the fight scenes. That one shot take at the beginning of the first episode was vastly different from the one shot take fight scenes we saw in the Netflix shoe. I love those scenes but I appreciate the fact that they made it different and actually was successful in being quite memorable
That fight scene at the end of episode 2 was fantastic too. You can see Murdock hesitation on not wanting to fight but being forced to. When the fight actually starts, it's quick, brutal and quite satisfying to watch
BTW I also like Netflix slow fight scenes too. So I get why you like those scenes better
The whole Wilson Fisk thing becoming Mayor is interesting to say the least. I recently found out that there is a Marvel Comic Event called Devil's Reign which is basically that plot line. It is on my To Read List
Now I am hoping for appearences from Claire Temple in this season or next season. She is one of my favorite characters from the OG Show.
I went in mostly blind with this show and am pleasantly surprised by how good it is. I'm pretty sure it's by the same showrunner who did the Netflix show
I wanted to ask any Daredevil Runs or Storylines you reccomand when it comes to the comics?

This list is all good stuff. Zdaraky is the best modern stuff. Art, story, etc. Grab his omnibuses or full volumes if you want to go the longer route.

17 Best Daredevil Comics For New Fans To Start With
With Daredevil and Kingpin's re-debut in the MCU, these are the best comics for new fans of the Man Without Fear to start with.screenrant.com
No crossover with TMNT yet but it's Kevin Eastman's greatest crossover desire and he co-ceased TMNT.Was there ever a TMNT/DD crossover? Surely there must be, right?
If not then they MUST have a scene where DD and Punisher run into an obvious Casey with mask and 4 squat dudes in trenchcoats and fedoras. PLEASE!
I also want a Punisher ep where he's patrolling in a big muscle car, sees two guys fighting with swords in an alley, one gets beheaded, and Castle lights the other up to seemingly no effect until he's stabbed and left for dead![]()
First ep was pretty good. I wish there was a bit more of a recap because I don't recall what Fisk is recovering from (the fight with girl Hawkeye?), exactly what Foggy and Karen knew about DD, the deal with Fisk's wife Vanessa, stuff like that.
I recommend watching at 1.25 speed.
No need to watch a recap on Echo, here are three things you need to know from it:
Maya was raised to be a killer by Fisk, she gains a spirit power, and at the end she uses a healing power to cure his past trauma/anger
Its good?

It's not bad. More focused on Kingpin than I'd prefer, and like a lot of MCU stuff it relies on you having seen other shows to fully understand everything. But Cox is great, Vincent is looking old and shrunken but still has the gravitas, and the fights are good. Its good?

I do wonder one thing, though: did Marvel fire all of their good CG animators after Endgame? The shot with DD swinging around in the opening scene was so terrible I actually laughed at my TV. Maybe I'm looking at the past with rose-tinted glasses, but I feel like the quality of CG work has been way worse since 2020.
From what I have heard about Across the Spiderverse, Beyond the Spiderverse, and a couple of DC movies, this seems to be growing problem.(like, they'd finish shots and then she'd demand them be completely changed)
Because these films are being made by a committee, not a director. They are getting push-over "yes people" to 'direct' a film thats been pre-written for the action scenes and all the "we must introduce this here to set up that there for a D+ show". It's ruining all their stuff, Marvel and Star Wars. as well as DC and other 'shared universe' nonsense. From what I have heard about Across the Spiderverse, Beyond the Spiderverse, and a couple of DC movies, this seems to be growing problem.
I cannot understand why certain steps are being skipped to where storyboarding changes are happening during or after the CGI has already been made. It sounds like a nightmare.

I dug it. When is the third one coming out? Wasn't it supposed to be out like a year ago?I loved the first Spiderverse movie but I felt the second film was boring ass fanservice tripe. Lot of these movies and shows have been ruined by commitees and I agree it's not only Disney that has been heavily effected by this
