Space Marine 3 confirmed by Saber Interactive

They must have been eating really good with Space Marine 2.

Way to go.

Never a doubt. SM2 probably had under a 50mil budget and has sold 6mil copies already. Massive success. It has better combat than any Gears game too. Absolutely deserved

I'm very happy about this. I liked the first one and I'm in the middle of the second one right now. Good timing for me!

I love that they just announced a game that is probably 3 years away from release. But the fans right now going crazy because they don't need to hope for a third game because it's already confirmed there is one. It's a nice move from saber, no more tipping in the dark

Personally I'll never understand this want for game announcements to be close to release. I'd rather know what is coming and be excited about that rather than wonder for two years if there will ever be another game.

If I am honest papitos, I found the game quite boring, the campaign is very repetitive and with a serious lack of variety. I dont even understand why it was so popular in the first place. Gears franchise for example are much better games imo

But hey good for them, I am not sure I will be buying another one

Did you play any of the operations? To me, that's where the game really got good

Yes yes yes!!!!!!

With the huge success of Space Marine 2 over 6 million copies sold from the last time I heard of it and well deserved! I was hoping they'll do a sequel way quicker compared to Space Marine 1 and 2.

Please put Necron and Slannesh Daemon in it. Or better yet have three antagonist factions with a even bigger budget. Besides another Greater Daemon/Daemon Prince I also want a C'tan Shard in the story. If it'a Eldar, Necron, and a Chaos faction than we should get to see a Avatar of Khaine, a Greater Daemon, and a C'tan Shard all in one game which would make for some amazing boss battles.

Have to also give them a lot of credit for the post launch operation stuff since those are also story based and talks about the events after the main campaign where the Tyranids have made a fricken Bioweapon. The Thousand Sons having those disk using high tier Daemon, and new Tyranid forms etc.

Gamers don't mind announcements like this. It's when publishers show off CGI trailers to games that have no release date and are still a ways off

Oh you know there has to be Necrons in the next one with all the data slate narratives and the monolith structures in SM2. That is going to be awesome. Chaos is a given. Eldar would blow my mind at this point.

it was pretty much a given considering the success of SM2

i just hope they will keep it as faithful as posible to the lore

I love SM2 and I hope they keep adding more to it. Excited for SM3 obviously, but that's still gonna be far off.

One of the best games of 2024. A badass, unapologetically testosterone filled action game that isn't a soulslike and doesn't overstay its welcome. It was exactly what I needed.

Can't wait for #3

Tithead or whatever his name was coming back to destroy the wokes. Finish the fight.

I enjoyed the 1st one, rough gem. Bought the 2nd one knowing it was abit more co-op focused but man, it's pretty much co-op, you can't die in the campaign thanks to your "squadmates", I like my story games, if I'd known I probably would of passed. My bad thou, it's a great game mechanic wise if that's your bag.

Very good. I would love for Saber Interactive to make a game in the Battletech universe as well. Like a MechAssault 3, for example.

Hey papi, not really. I finished the campaign solo and I had more than enough to know this game wasn't speaking to me
I agree. I'm a big fan of Warhammer in general, but I was kinda disappointed with the game. It was okay, but extremely repetitive. Maybe the multiplayer is better, but I honestly have no need to try it.

To me, that's where the game got really repetitive. I'll get back to it once I can get a friend or two to buy it, but I can't see myself still playing it in a year.

Did you try playing as different classes? That made a big difference for me.

To be fair, single player is a limited experience with this game, you've gotta go into multiplayer. I actually agree with you that the core gameplay is nothing amazing. Its a very simple game through and through with fun elements tossed in, that's it 🤷‍♂️ However, Its successful because they focused on that 'man see, man kill' element that a lot of games have forgotten. Couple that with no games portraying masculinity and they had a chance at appealing to that other side of gamers, which they did.

Im glad there's another one, lets hope they deliver something amazing because again, that core gameplay is really simple - they'll need to revamp it severely for it to qualify with a new game.

Hell yes I really loved this game. Im still playing the Operations and PVP.

It just scratched some itch for me. It was just so fun to stomp around and shoot things. The kill animations, weapon variations, the environments, the armor customization, it was just delicious.

One of those games were shooting and killing things just felt good. Give me wave after wave after wave, I just need to keep slaying.
