People were under the false impression that GoG releases were made perfectly compatible with current PCs, but most of the games they sell aren't.

This initiative is what they should've done to begin with.
Better late than never.
A lot of them are downright painful to use. I've bought enough of them to know.

I paid good money for this Dynex!
Huh. Did you guys see that Silent Hill 4 got added to this? As part of its inclusion in the preservation program, they:

1) added in the missing hauntings that weren't in the PC version, and
2) adjusted the gamma defaults so it matches the PS2 version now

That's kind of amazing - getting the missing content added back in 20-some years on finally makes the PC version arguably the best one out there. I really didn't expect them to go to those lengths.

I wonder if FEAR includes the dll fix that stops performance from tanking with certain peripherals.
I think they did. I own it and tried it out and it hasn't dropped so far. I deleted that dll file I was using. They also locked the fps to 60 as well.

Great to see Tomb Raider Anniversary and the rest of the trilogy added. I played Anniversary last year and in the Greece level it had crazy slowdowns to the point of the game being unplayable. Hopefully it's fixed now.
