Most corps that feature a board of directors thinks this way, especially the ones who have no issue at all making deals with Tencent and/or Saudi Arabia.
They are in the business of providing entertainment so they don't worry about the other parts of it.
Also, if the public suddenly decides that people who used to be brand risks aren't considered brand risks anymore(which people online, who value free speech so ridiculously much, have ultimately decided this to be the case lately), then those companies will start giving those same brand risk streamers copies of the game.
If people truly want free non-cancel culture internet (and those people aren't secretly hypocrites) then the end result is that both Asmongold and Hasan get copies of AC Shadows and both sides have to deal with that.

Except that's not fucking true. I went to the store just yesterday and they're 8/doz. The economic law of demand has worked this way since the dawn of time. Sellers will push the price as high as buyers will pay. When they go too far, the buyers won't pay and the price comes down. Well, several years ago I did work at there. Across my career I worked in different gamedev roles, but at that point I was managing the marketing department of my studio that included the CMs and other ones for the accounts of my studio and the games our studio was in charge of.
I know things got more woke and that people got more polarized in social media since then, but as common sense -and Ubisoft's social media best practices documents back then- say, corporate accounts should always be polite and respectful with everybody, to avoid potential conflicts, being confrontative, creating bad mood and specially to avoid in general damaging the game and company brands.
Community Developers or Managers were supposed to bring joy and hype, and act as firefighters and policemen in their community. Not as rioters, pyromaniacs or trolls. If that was the case for behaving and interacting with random annonymous players, imagine with the richest man in the world, who also is the CEO of that social media platform, or Grummz, one of the biggest and most effective trolls in the industry.
