Daredevil: Born Again | Official Trailer

yeah, but working with phil lord seems to be hell because he keeps changing already animated scenes so 100 animators quit
That sucks. I really enjoyed those films and they set up Miles/Gwen to be as big as spidey himself. Really fun movies if a bit seizure inducing.

I really enjoyed the 2 episodes. It been so long since watching the original seasons though. Question...
Wasn't Kingpin in jail at the end of prior season? How did he get out and become instantly the top candidate for mayor?

You do have to watch Echo to understand some stuff but I reccomand to just skip that show since I found it to be a boring slog

Watched the first 2 episodes and they were good. Disappointed they wrote Deborah out in the first 30 minutes. Other than that, it is good.

Yeah, the new girl lawyer is a MAJOR downgrade. When they gotta do the "let's talk about how awesome you are because we can't show it", then you know you got a serious character/actor problem.

"More Police reports. Officer Reyes, Officer Wong, Officer Morales, Officer Grant"

I just finished all 3 eps. That first episode had a some hokey CGI and the bullseye fight was not good at all. More hokey CGI mixed in the fight. Soured my taste for the whole show. But, the rest of the show made up for that initial fight. I can't believe they OK'd that, really.

The apartment fight scene was definitely better.

I watched all of the Netflix-Marvel stuff and the only other thing I watched from Disney-Marvel was WandaVision, nothing else really appeals to me..

Going into this, is there anything I need to recap on to be up to date with events between the end of Daredevil S03 or the Netflix street level shows?

This references something that happens in Hawkeye and the post credit scene of Echo.

Since Frank Castle face was obscured. I think that wasn't Castle, it was an imposter made to frame Castle for the murder of White Tiger
So can White Tiger be taken out so easily? All the witness testimonies say "White Tiger came out of nowhere", so the notion that he just casually strolls down the street in his (disappointingly cosplay like) costume feels wrong. I think Kingpin made a deal for Avarlez to GTFO and then had a Punisher pretender shoot a White Tiger pretender, both to show 'justice' to the city and sow discord and mistrust between vigilantes. I just can't believe a magicked up superhero gets capped that way. Clearly Castle wouldn't do it in that fashion either. Given that the actor for White Tiger passed, maybe this was a later alteration to just close that book but I'm sure this plays into the rest of the season as Kingpin declared war on vigilantes (but where, exactly, do the major heroes running around NYC, like Spidey, fit into this? Now is the time for a J.Jonah Jameson cameo as he would be the PERFECT mouthpiece for Kingpin. I guess this D.D. girl s a stand in.

When it comes to Marvel comics knowledge, I'm not as knowledgeable as Manabyte, Doom85 and DeafTourrete so I have no idea how the amulet works. I just found it kind of obvious that wasn't Frank since they went out of the way to obsure his face. I heard about the actor who played White Tiger dying in RL, so not sure if that was a way to write him out of the story. I would have preferred a recast. But we shall see what happens in future episodes. I'm fine with cameos as long as they fit and are written well. So J Jonah Jameson would be perfect fit. I think that Hawkeye should show up since he had dealt with the Tracksuit Mafia, is Street Level and has dealt with the shadier aspects of the MCU/comics

There is a scene this week between the Daredevil and an old character that is really good. Show is Froggy fresh.

What happened to the original idea of this show being more PG rated? When did that change? I started this show thinking it was going to be cornball shit, but it's closer to the netflix series than I was expecting.

Couple out of nowhere F bombs seems like they just want to force it on you like the Logan movie that was more excessive with their F bombs. "Ay we're speakin like adults ova heeah"

The amulet gives him enhanced strength, reflexes stamina and senses... It doesn't protect him from bullets.

I would assume "enhanced senses and reflexes" would keep you from getting shot point blank though, it's not like the Punisher has super stealth or anything

I'm not feeling the chemistry between Matt and Heather. Think he had more chemistry with the woman he was trying to reduce the black guy's sentence.

Also, not a fan of Fisk and his wife going through therapy. Hopefully, it'll have a payoff but i'm generally bored with these scenes.

Overall, i am loving the show, though. And, i too wish Deborah had stayed.

I mean, we can all see where its going right?

Fisk gets angry at his therapist, and she is in trouble, Daredevil comes to rescue her and she finds out it's Matt

Or something boringly predictable like that

Strange episode. Def good and bad parts.

Didn't like the cousin part, wtf did she come from? why wasn't she introduced before? there was no emotional impact. It didn't make any sense.

Also hated the petty robber, wtf was that. I keep stealing and they keep putting my in jail so I need to steal more, where's the justice? How about you stop fucking stealing and don't be a burden on the system you hate so much. That was woke af, and unless we'll see him again I don't get the point besides wokeness.

Also lazy writing in the club, yeah he just springs up random shit like that.

Otherwise good.

Haven't watched any of the new daredevil but how did that whole latvia/latveria thing come off? Just seems like a cheap misdirection from the outside.

It was just Latvia. Nothing to do with Doom. Just a connection between Matt and Fisk. Fisk despised the Latvian heritage day, Matt used it to his advantage for his client.

You don't think they were b3ing cheeky though with similarities in the countries names?

This season of Daredevil was filmed long before Doom was swapped out for Kang. At the time this was filmed, Kang was still the big bad and there were no plans for Doom until post-Secret Wars.

Also the reason why it's not Latveria will make sense when people see F4 and see where the MCU Doom comes from.

These last episodes were indeed excellent, really really entertaining.
This might be the best season of Daredevil so far. Quite surprised by the quality of it. A few woke stuff was not necessary, but it doesn't get in the way of my enjoyment.

Yes. I don't get the whole niece thing, she came out of nowhere. And also, strange that Daredevil who hears everything didn't hear that escape.

These episodes end so abruptly. I feel like there is supposed to be a 1-2 minute closer that we don't get.

Like what happened to the robber guy he caught? why give the diamond back to the banker? Whats he gonna do with it?

HOLY.FUCK

Man they really waited for the very end to let everything go. Never in a million years would I ever expected marvel to pump out something of this quality on Disney plus. Bravo for a fantastic finale. On a side note, it's been 10 years that when dare devil first aired on Netflix.
