I’ve been gaming since the 8-bit days and still have fond memories of waiting for my spectrum games to load

Then came the Amiga, with its array of awesome titles.

Skip forward a number of years and I’m now playing Split Fiction with my son.

This game is incredible! It brings back the sheer fun of being immersed in a game. The game design is ludicrously amazing, with incredible puzzles and just all out craziness at times (I won’t spoil the “Pig section” for anyone).

I haven’t had as much fun playing a game as this gem. I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’s my game of the year. In fact, it’s my game of the “past five years”.

Unfortunately, I'm rather disappointed with the game. I liked the predecessors more. In addition, many game elements were recognizable, even if the new ones were dyed differently.

I played A Way Out and It Takes Two with a buddy, and they really brought us back to the good old days of couch co-op awesomeness, and are truly great games, especially It Takes Two. Can't recommend them enough. Still trying to align our schedules to play Split Fiction. Been looking forward to it since the minute we finished the last one.

Play It Takes Two if you haven't, OP.

I'm loving Split Fiction but it throws so much at you so fast. ITT gives you more time to explore the areas/zones/biomes that are so amazingly crafted.

Finished it with my 12 year old daughter last week. We had a great time.

GOTY? No of course not. It's not particularly original but its a lot of fun and very much gameplay driven.

I'm certainly biased in its favor due to the dad/daughter co-op thing but even so, its a game thats very much worth the time and its also very fairly priced.

It Takes Two was a huge goty hit and sold an unbelievable amount of copies. I've yet to play scissor splits but I do plan on getting it soon. Loved It Takes Two.

My son and I are really enjoying it. He has learned the difference between sci-fi and fantasy. He will trash talk me if he thinks I am slacking and I will tell him what he is doing wrong, and we just laugh about it. He wants to skip the story but I will not let him. We got to a cection where you have to hunt something last night, and he is like "I am going after this one". We have to work together. He trashed talked me before the kite race and I smoked him.
