About time, but not be able to play at higher resolutions and widescreen it's so lame, even dolphin can be played better in a modded Switch 1

pretty cool. will buy. But they gonna make new N64, SNES and NES controllers with the C button too? ...what a racket lol.

It's about damn time. Though I'm really bummed there wasn't a Melee announcement. :(

The hideous borders on the side with your damn profile picture are so fucking retarded. Like who wants to see that instead of a clean black bar?

Fuck this shit. Who even thinks thats a good idea? Let me hide it at least!?!

They said online multiplayer for f-zero specifically, sounds like SC2 won't have it, that would be ridiculous. We're starved for soulcalibur.

I'm excited but for fucks sake, this sub only bullshit is, fucking bullshit! Where is the option to actually purchase these games???

Maybe because OG Switch doesn't have enough processing power to emulate Gamecube.
nahhh i'ma call BS on that.

I think this is merely done to sell the Switch 2.

I'll 100% take Wind Waker and Luigi's Mansion 1 as they are amazing titles, but I don't think Nintendo has the balls to put Smash Bros Melee on there with online play, they will sell the new Smash Fighting game and ignore Melee on that store simply to force their user base towards that new entry

A lot of us don't really buy any of those weird excuses like "processing power" or anything odd like that, they are doing this as a business move to sell Switch 2.

Nintendo be like "Smash Bros Melee and Mario Kart Double Dash are not on the store for processing power reasons, but.....please buy Mario Kart World and Smash Bro RX DX Ultimate BBQX" lol

Have you seen a hacked Switch 1 running Gamecube emulator?
i have seen an Nvidia Shield which house essentially the same internals as a switch, running a Wii emulator.

also the Mario 3d collection has sunshine running in emulation

So to answer your question, yes the switch can handle GC emulation

Looks like the best version of Wind Waker is still stuck on Wii U. That's disappointing
They will eventually port the HD remaster. They left the original Links Awakening game on the Online service even when they made the remake for Switch.

Chibi Robo alone...I mean they should have remastered that one by now. That's a good one not widely played afaik.

I'm excited for this, and hate the way you can purchase the controllers only through Nintendo store, it makes it impossible for people from most places in the world to get unless you pay extra to buy it from reseller

AWESOME Finally ... definitely waiting for 3rd party games like Billy Hatcher and some obscure exclusives like Doshin the giant 😊

I still think that gets ported to Switch or Switch 2 at some point. Nintendo loves to fill in the portfolio gaps with remakes, remasters or smaller side projects like WarioWare.

Sub only. No purchase possible. Again.
Purchases are over, they will never go back. They can kill subs whenever they want and won't have to provide anything for the long term.

SEGA better put more games and consoles, I didn't buy the MD controller to be stuck with the current selection of MD games.

Never again. I suspect that its convenient for them to distribute the games in this form. If they can't make them work with a future system, they will just pull it offline. If you didn't pay for the specific game, then no one can complain. I guess they can, but you pay for the service not the specific game.
Nintendo is usually good about backwards compatibility from one system to the next if there is not a format change but not 2 systems down the road. It will be interesting to see if the next console in about a decade will be able to play your Switch 1 games.

I think you are lucky if they add one game a year to that service. I gathered Sega was talking about doing their own thing and are waiting for the contract with Nintendo to dry up so they can pull those games from Nintendo's service.
