It’s still good, but it’s also a sequel that struggles because it’s only half of the story.

‘The Last of Us’ Review: Season 2 of HBO’s Hit Video Game Adaptation Is Thrilling, Addicting and Incomplete
Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey are joined by newcomers Catherine O'Hara, Isabela Merced and Kaitlyn Dever in a fresh chapter that picks up five years after the last finale.

Some highlights:
-Great production values
-Doesn't feel as fleshed out or as emotional as season 1
-Season 2's ending is abrupt, on a cliff hanger
-Without the context of season 3, some things in season 2 are going to feel incomplete and empty
-Abby apparently isn't in it nearly as much as we expected
-Some events have been moved around and sometimes not for the better
-Due to episode constraints, it doesn't give a lot of time for some of the best moments and plot points to breathe, feels rushed at times
-Some of the biggest moments from the game have the show bouncing around between events taking some of the impact away from it
-Tommy and Dina are featured heavily and are the stars of the show
