Split Fiction - Reviews Thread

No OT for dis I guess, but I finished this a while back with a friend. In all departments aside from audio the game is improved over It Takes Two especially the sci-fi levels which were fucking amazing. We laughed a lot at some of the fantasy stuff, decent story, albeit generic, bad white CEO guy rollseyes, but still decent. The final level when things go crazy was absolutely amazing. I wish the soundtrack had a bigger emphasis, but it seems it took a massive nosedive from the creativity It Takes Two brought especially with the last level which was an audio/visual masterpiece. Overall 8.3/10.

It's very on the nose but it is shit that's happening now, techbro CEOs wanting to train AI to replace creatives, if you're sad about it being a white guy then that's just the scene with the ones who are most prominent in pushing this tech. But overall it felt the message was pretty self aware and played it for laughs.

Playing along with my brothers, game is great. Some areas seem like filler but wow, great ideas in this one. Imagine a Mario and Luigi or Peach and Yoshi game with some of the concepts. Excellent game, Switch 2 version should be a Day 1

Yeah I had no issue with it, I just wished for a better written villain, we seem to lack these in recent times. Handsome Jack, The Joker and a few others were at their peak and haven't been surpassed to this day. The nazi dude from Indiana Jones was great as well though his presence was too little.
