The Sinking City Remastered announced for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC (free upgrade for existing owners)

It's free also on ps5? Because time ago I checked and it requested a new full price order on psn for the remastered version though I owned the ps4 version.
I am not sure, i just saw the end stinger says free upgrade so i assume so.

I don't know how it works if you have it from PSplus or anything like that though, I have it on steam so It was a quick upgrade for me.

Definitely free for ps5, seemingly it's just an inplace patch for that version as no download or claim required.

This was the least of the game's issues. The endlessly repeating mission design, combat, detective elements, animations, traversal...literally everything that actually matters outside of the atmosphere and visuals is really weak. I just gave up at one point. Game defines rinse and repeat.

Tried it out on GoG but it doesn't seem to be the remaster. Anyone know how to install it on PC/GoG?

Edit: Nevermind. Found it in my library. Need to put on my glasses next time.

This is up on PSN. Grabbed since its a freebie.

I'll give it another shot to see if the added bells and whistles make a difference in the fun department.

Played it a bit and it runs and looks worse than the original. Horrible stutters and framerate is all over the place. Great remaster.

Big lol. Liar.
Whether it looks worse or not is subjective, however, it definitely runs worse. For reference, I'm playing on a base PS5 with VRR. I'm currently at the very beginning where you're on some docks. It has very noticeable frame drops/stutters. It ran extremely smooth prior to this remaster update. Also, I believe it looks quite a bit softer.

game was promising up until the horrible action parts started, will give it another chance to see anything changed

Pretty much. Maybe the best realized Lovecraft game for my money. Still a little too rough to recommend to anyone not fluent in Eastern Euro Jankware. It's my favorite genre, so I'm hyped for the sequel!

yeah seeing the action oriented trailer they had for the sequel was immediate red-flag but hopefully they deliver.
i like their sherlock games very much, but they are probably trying to expand their reach with some 3rd person action.

What's up with developers hyping a product and then releasing a half assed product. It runs like shit.

What's even the point? Do these people know how marketing works?

Infuriatingly stupid.

Boyos, I downloaded it earlier and...I suppose things look better ? Here's the thing though, it constantly hitches and stutters - can't remember if it was that way before but, yeah...

Anyway, I managed to play for 10 whole minutes before I actually had to turn the game off, the game is just...too convoluted and too janky, I really, really want to like this but between the need to constantly go back and forth between districts with the boat, the lack of a mini map, the horrible menu/UI, the need to constantly check on notes etc etc makes it impossible for me to continue it and it's a shame since I always finish the games that I buy, this will be the 1st game that I'll shelve.

I want to play it but I just can't.

PS : Call of Cthulhu DCOTE on the OG Xbox and PC is still the best Lovecraft game

I remind on base ps4 performance was horrible, getting better when was ps5 enhanced but I haven't played that much on base ps5 to remember and it's UE so ...

Yeah, the "remastered" version has constant stuttering that wasn't there before on PS5, though it was on my PC which is the reason I moved to the console version. Didn't they move to UE5 for the remaster? Working as intended.

Seems the remaster is back to the same state of the original on ps4.
