Are we ever getting a proper Arkham Collection Remaster?

Dual Sense Edger and Blower
These games are such an integral part of the superhero genre and they're stuck at 1080p/30fps on consoles. It's really sad. They did the Return to Arkham remaster but it was pretty bad, not up to today's standards.

With the state of RockUnsteady I don't know what are the chances these games are honored with proper re-releases instead of being left in the dust.

thankfully the PC versions exist tho.

and the Xbox One X version of the first game is at least ok-ish if you play it on a 120hz VRR screen.

Exactly my thoughts as well.

Would love to replay them but 30 fps doesn't cut it anymore.

Still haven't played Origins and it's stuck on PS Now on Playstation..

Wouldn't count on it anytime soon, they didn't add Arkham Origins to the collection, 60fps was removed from Arkham City (I played the disc version without the patch and the framerate was all over the place) and from what I've read Arkham Knight tends to crash on current gen consoles.

Maybe if we're closer to the next Arkham game in a few years and they'll want to build some hype first... but it's still unlikely.

Yea that's what I thought to. Until I triad to play Arkham City and it was crashing I think right after the logo came up. Took all day to fix and the fix was literally reinstalling windows. It broke once I updated my NVidia drivers again and I moved on. Saw tons of people having the issue even on the Steam forums but none of the fixes worked.

Best I can do is a free legendary Ms Freeze skin for pride month in suicide squad

Agreed, there should be an Arkham Anthology that includes Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, Arkham Origins, Arkham Origins Blackgate, and Arkham Knight with all the DLC, all at ultra settings at 4k/60fps for consoles,

What are Rocksteady working on?

If they are working on another Batman game then they will rerelease at least one of these. That's almost a guarantee(imho). The reason is because it will generate hype for the new game.

It's happening.

We really need a remaster of City on console.

Playing Arkham Knight on PC right now, it's still holds up. 120x2 fps with Nvidia's Smooth Motion & RTX HDR.

Should it have Console & PC remasters? Of course! It's too bad Batman was unmasked in Knight's narrative, another game which included more of Gotham proper would have been neato, maybe even including the old Asylum, City & Knight areas.

See that island? You can't go there.

At this point I'd like a remastered collection because once my rtx 4080 dies, all the cool Physx effects in the PC versions die with it given Nvidia dropped support in their new and future GPUs.

I already pointed this out in another thread, but they are re-releasing the Trilogy collection on PS4 on May 23rd.

No idea what's going on or why but apparently, it's a real thing that is happening

Edit: I was thinking this might be tied to a future Switch 2 update of Arkham Knight as that game desperately needs a patch/upgrade to take advantage of the stronger hardware

There was a rumor of an RTX remaster of Arkham Knight for years and it still hasn't surfaced
Hey, that's true, From the 2021 Nvidia Geforce Now datamine. It also revealed Bioshock & Mirror's Edge RTX. They might be canceled, but who knows?

This article is from 2023. The private branch updates are obfuscated on Steam since last year.

if that ever drops take my 60$ to 70$.

You're probably making fun of Todd Howard with your last sentence but my obssesive side couldn't let go :messenger_grinning_sweat: : We've been on that actually, no need to go there twice :pie_raybans:

By the way I love Batman games, including Arkham Origins. While they still fun and good to play on PC, I would like to see them with good and proper RT.

I just finished City on PC last week. It holds up pretty well. I'm currently playing Knight, and the graphics are phenomenal.

WB have hardly ever done remasters. They do collections and Arkham Collection is already released with minute graphical improvements.

But given Rocksteady misfortune I think we will get easy money remasters of Arkham games before their next game is out in 5 years.

They are re-releasing the collection as I posted. Not sure if it's the same or different but it's probably the same.

Probably wouldn't work these days unless you changed the name to Batperson or Batpeople and offered up some physical customisation. Chuck in more stealth and call it Quiet Batpeople?

Do we really want the modern Rocksteady who created SS:KTJL attempt to put together a remastered collection?

I mean.... I own the classics and it would be funny as fuck to see what clownshoes shit they 'editorialize' into a complete remaster/colection.

But this is a monkey's paw wish.

Honestly with how WB Games has been managed I don't see anything like this happening. If it ever did, I'd be shocked. I feel like they need a full on restructuring or something.
