Digital Foundry PS5 Pro sold me

I'm more of a story focused games kind of guy, but it looks too good to pass. Gameplay looks just awesome, and explorarion seems rewarding.

And I'm a massive graphic whore, no way I wouldnt play one of the best looking games out there (using a new proprietary engine)

Yeah. That is kind of the problem with these kinds of games. Too damn big.

I run into that with Dragon's Dogma and Elden Ring too. Elden Ring makes it worse because it is so damn hard.

But Elden Ring had this amazing way to intrinsically motivate the player to explore. The varied environments and the drive to get to the next one, the discovery of new enemies, all of it pushed me forward from within.

Crimson Desert seems like it's all extrinsic motivation. Fetch quests, loot, XP, new moves.

It's pretty, but eh.

I'm going to wait, maybe for a sale. At first I thought it was going to be similar Kenshi, but my interest dropped when I learned there isn't a character creator and there was a set story.

Well you can perform wrestling moves on brigands and knights so I'd say that's pretty close.
