Has your switch 2 shipped yet?

Nothing from Target, and I also have a pro controller ordered at Walmart and also hasn't shipped (says delivered by June 5th...which is obviously not happening).

So what gives? Are y'all in the same boat?

My work got a few extra in for launch day outside the preordered ones.

So its waiting at work for me, will bring it home on Thursday probably, the embargo document in the delivery crates said they can't be sold until 9am of launch day so I wonder if that's the official launch time or if I'm still safe to boot it at midnight the night before.

The note said if launches are detected before launch official release they will do an audit trail on the sale of the unit and you'd get disciplined, seems severe.

Edit: Just realised the launch day is Thursday, not Friday. Guess I'll be playing after work on Thursday then since I'm not working tomorrow.

2 from Walmart and no. No update on the site at all. Both orders sitting at 'Placed' and says Preorder arrives by June 5th.
Same here, but mine also indicate that they're being delivered from the local store, rather than from the warehouse. So they're arriving Thursday via random minimum wage slob dispatched from the local Walmart, instead of from UPS or Fedex.

For Walmart I paid the full price on April 23rd via PayPal. Order currently listed as 'Placed', 'Delivery', 'Preorder arrives by June 05', with a grocery bag icon.

For Nintendo.com I paid full price on May 17th via CC. Order is currently listed as 'Preparing to Ship', 'Overnight(within 2 business days)'.

My hope is that the grocery bag icon at Walmart means I'll receive a Spark delivery like they do with Black Friday items such as TVs, as opposed to the warehouse delivery that has a cardboard box icon. However, the Black Friday Roku TV I had delivered Black Friday morning said 'Delivery from Store' with the grocery icon, while these say 'Delivery'. Just got to sit back and see what happens at this point.

I've ordered tons of stuff from Walmart online that has this same icon, and its always them sending a random store employee to my house with the item.

My concern is that two Switch 2s is like a month's salary for whoever will be doing the delivery. They don't box these up or anything usually, it's just loose in a walmart plastic bag. The odds of one or both of these going missing is honestly pretty high here.

Go back to the original email you got when you preordered. Mine says something like includes tax and driver tip.

Ah yep mine as well. Didn't notice that before. Hope they don't try to pull any bs. I've got my Ring cam at least haha

I didn't know it when I preordered, but apparently Walmart offered delivery by 9AM June 5 if you preorder. I'm in the same boat of having the bag icon, and had the same concern, but at least this is a more limited window to be watching out for the driver. I'd like to be around when they take their photo of the delivery...

This local delivery/spark driver thing is probably their way of getting a large number delivered at just the right time without worrying about systems arriving either too early or too late. It must not be a simple logistics problem to guarantee delivery after the 5th begins, but before 9AM that day...were they thinking when they did this? I would have just picked it up at the store if I could have...of course the option is greyed out.

no not yet.

it will probably be sent out tomorrow. the Amazon logistics center is pretty close to me. so stuff usually gets sent out the day before it arrives.

Wait they charged us a tip?
It's just wording they put in the email to discourage people from giving their delivery people tips. It was actually a huge headache for Walmart corporate payroll, because their "delivery drivers" are just regular hourly employees - reporting tips, in some cases, put them over a pay threshold where they had to start paying benefits.

So no they don't charge anything extra, it's just their polite way of saying "please don't tip your delivery people, because we don't want to have to deal with the paperwork"

Oh ok

It does say, "Includes all fees, taxes, discounts and driver tip". Hopefully it works out ok.

Hopefully they'll steal somebody else's units. I have surveillance cameras on the property. They won't get away with lying. 👊

Heavend forbid a worker gets benefits

Target no. I just got the balance adjustment back on my card from the pending hold I think..

I'm doing in store pick up

curious why more of you don't do the same? It seems like the vast majority had it shipped
Because most of us had to fight websites and didn't even have time to pick options.

What store? Walmart and Target didn't have the option at checkout. I got an in person pre-order from GameStop, but that's not the same thing.
I ordered through Best Buy

I figured they all had in store pickup (at least Walmart, Best Buy and Target). makes total sense you had it shipped if they didn't offer it, my bad

Walmart - not yet. Still hasn't even moved to the preparation stage, though they did charge me the real bill on the 1st around 2PM. Been checking it like mad ever since just to see.

Figured I'd see some kind of activity by now, but crickets thus far.

So any Walmart preorder should be before 9 AM on the 5th then?

same here for my 1 from Walmart, hopefully there's movement tomorrow? I believe mine is just being delivered from the local store which might explain why it's not done anything yet

edit: I wish I could have gotten store pickup from Best Buy, but their site was a mess and I missed it

I have this bad feeling Gamestop isnt going to ship my Switch 2 on time for the 5th. On the 30th, I got hit with fraud alert. I immediately approved it once I found out, but its still says preparing to ship. 😰😓:messenger_sad_relieved:
