You mean Spithey/them-personConcord 2 or spider-men
Maybe it's a totally new game set in the Concord trans-media universe.Concord remake?
Resistance or MAG would be great!Sunset Overdrive? Resistance?
MAG was awesome but made by Zipper InteractiveResistance or MAG would be great!
Hulst needs to be launched out off PS through a "metaphorical cannon", to quoteFucking hell....Sony this gen.
TJ Fixman wrote Resistance, Ratchet & Clank and recently the movie Carry-On.Unless it's resistance or resistance adjacent with none of their slop, "Modern writers" then I don't care.
*Spider-They/ThemSpider-Them
Co-op could happen, I would play a sunset overdrive 2....just replace all of insomniacs writers.
Funny how "multiplayer" used to mean playing with people, not playing around a storefrontSay it with me:
Multiplayer gameplay doesn't mean a multiplayer game
A Multiplayer game doesn't mean live service game
The Great Web thing thankfully got cancelled, and hopefully Insomniac is not stupid enough to go down that road again because it looked and sounded totally horrible.Spider-GaaS, Spider-GaaS

Basically, if it's not a fighting game or a very simple concept like Marvel Rivals where you basically play a match on a map and fuck off, licensed games should rarely ever be MP. Live services are all but a no-no. It rarely ever works for normal games, licensed games have a much more uphill battle.
Didn't work with Avengers, didn't work with Gotham Knights, didn't work with Suicide Squad. If it's Injustice, or Marvel Tokon or Marvel Rivals, fine.
Insomniac though should not be touching MP at all anyway. Fucking focus on what makes you successful. Nobody played Resistance by the time we got around to 3.
Have Sony given up on making games we actually want? Or are they just gonna make Gaas flops/cancelled games?
We've had nothing from 1st party this year. Barely anything announced.
It looks like the only thing from them for the entire year will be ghosts.
The last thing we got was astrobot in September if I recall correctly, and good tho it is its a small game by like 50 devs.
They seem a wash this gen. Appallingly bad management, meanwhile it seems xbox is hitting its stride, and have far far more studios now. Sony just don't have enough to have the vast majority redirected into failed Gaas crap.
They were doomed to be bad by virtue of being multiplayer. I don't care if it sounds extreme. You either do SP or MP for this shit, no in between.Have to disagree a bit here.
Gotham Knights failed for a lot of reasons. No Batman first of all. Second, the game was trash and ran at 30 fps and it was still only 2 player co-op for the main game. The same is true of suicide squad. It was just a bad game.
Because it's Spider-Man. Not Spider-Men. I'm going to go as far as to say this: having 2 of them in a SP game was a mistake. Including Miles was a mistake. There's no way to suggest Marvel Rivals can work but a well made Spider-Man multiplayer live service couldn't. Especially if you throw in the X-Men.
No it wouldn't have. The PS3 was plenty successful, and PC gamers have more than enough options that mog mediocre Resistance in terms of FPS to last an eternity.Edit: PS Resistance would have been a hit franchise if the PS3 was more successful and/or if Sony had released it on PC day 1 back in the day.

As for the X-Men: "There's no reason why a multiplayer Avengers game couldn't work".

It definitely won't be today. And it doesn't matter, because it wasn't. Resistance was what it was. We can't keep going back and reheating every failed IP because "this time, it's gonna be different".
Neither a 1st party game, nor a new release. Which seems pretty much all we've had, remasters, pc releases and multiplatform stuff they publish but don't own. Even Helldivers is second party and they've let Tencent swoop in and buy out a chunk. They are releasing Stellar Blade on Steam in a couple of days though.
Not to mention that was not only multiplayer but massively multiplayer.MAG was awesome but made by Zipper Interactive
I still find it funny how Sony said that after showing their big plans for the gaas offensive... and then they had to start remastering PS4 games to fill empty spots left by big singleplayer games they didn't have resources to make. They ain't stopping single player games dont worry guys. This is just an expansion to what they are doing

As a big PlayStation fan, it's just crazy to me how bad they're being run right now.
