How the fuck are people supposed to survive without the sun? Plants wont grow. And I have yet to see water outside of the Matrix.

I feel so stupid to have never thought of this before. They literally don't have benefits of the sun, Humanity in Matrix universe has no future.

Well if ultra intelligent AI that can duplicate life exists then it isn't far fetched to think after the victory over matrix humans can't reverse engineer it to run Uranium based reactors to give artificial light to sustain less sunlight intensive plants like mushrooms and water from our sweat. And water must have survived without sunlight locked deep in ice like some real life planets with low sunlight. Life would be tough with artificial light and extremely energy reliant way to create water and sweat. Yeah they are doomed if they even overpopulate, they can't leave the planet.
