Someone should test Xenoblade 2 and see if it doesn't tank to 360p anymore.

Monolith helped creating Mario Kart World, so I´m sure they are working on it.Someone should test Xenoblade 2 and see if it doesn't tank to 360p anymore.
Framerate was locked to 30 in portable modeNoice! First Switch BC title I'm going to try on my Switch 2 today. Hopefully the game runs in portable mode just as smoothly as in docked mode.
Oh, I wasn't aware of that. Still, a locked 30fps in portable mode is a big improvement compared to how it ran on my old Switch.Framerate was locked to 30 in portable mode
Happy launch day and congrats to all Switch 2 owners. Also congrats supporting low tech for high pricesI also want to thank you for supporting the new standard prices of €/$80.

Can you just select whatever game you want to "transfer", instead of the whole thing? All my switch 1 stuff is still there. It makes a copy of it.
Nintendo Defense Force! You should have made a GIF where you throw Switch 2 at me instead of the radio. Its almost the same tech.

It might have to do with the charging watts. Switch (1) is designed to accept up to 39W, and Switch 2 is 60W (I think). Why not let the Switch 1 fit into the Switch 2 dock and vice versa???
The Switch 2 dock delivers much more power than the Switch 1 dock did. If they let you use the Switch 1 dock then you would be stuck playing in portable mode on a big screen. The Switch 1 and 2 do not fit into each other's docks, but looking down into the docks and at the bottoms of the two consoles, it's clear that the difference is the two small indentations next to the USB-C ports are slightly different width
There is no reason for Nintendo to do this????
Why not let the Switch 1 fit into the Switch 2 dock and vice versa???
Why do I have to keep 2 docks side by side, and also use up 2 HDMI inputs instead of just 1?????
WHAT THE FUCK, NINTENDO?!?!??!
It should be trivial for some third party to produce a "dock adapter" that just changes the width of the indentations to make the Switch 1 and 2 fit in each other's docks
Why Game Boy color cartriges don't fit the original Game Boy ?The Switch 1 and 2 do not fit into each other's docks, but looking down into the docks and at the bottoms of the two consoles, it's clear that the difference is the two small indentations next to the USB-C ports are slightly different width

I still don't know if I should do a system transfer or not >_< I got too much stuff i'd still like to access on the Switch 1, and not enough storage on Switch 2 to accomodate it all.
Ok Nintendo crazies......It was just a joke, just a bait to see your true colors!
Oh that's interesting. I imagine there's a few third party ports that might be worth picking up now.First game I'll check is LA Noire. That game has a unlocked framerate.
Definitely. Can something like that be updated or are we screwed? No VRR for Docked seems to be a huge mistake on Nintendo's part.
Do you still have all the consoles ?Even as a console whore I told myself all along I wasn't getting a Switch 2. Got up this morning read a few tweets, looked at a local store who had them in stock and ready to collect. Now I am the owner of a Swich 2 Mario Kart World bundle and a pro controller. Why do I literally have no self control?! My streak of owning every games console since the Sega Megadrive days continues I guess ffs.
I think we're screwed, but people said it could maybe be patched like PS and Steam Deck.Definitely. Can something like that be updated or are we screwed?
It looks like Hitman drops below the 48 FPS minimum for VRR, and Cyberpunk only has a 40 FPS mode in the first place. So you need LFC, not just VRR.So, unfortunately it seems that a lot of docked games (Hitman, Cyberpunk) suffer from the lack of VRR and have inconsistent framerates. My fear has been realized.
As someone who doesn't use portable this is a huge red flag. The portable VRR straightens out the issues mostly.

Man, that's just horrible news. Can't believe they messed up like this.It looks like Hitman drops below the 48 FPS minimum for VRR, and Cyberpunk only has a 40 FPS mode in the first place. So you need LFC, not just VRR.
Which everyone in the VRR thread seemed to completely ignore.
Fully expect these games to get several stability patches moving forward. Remember, these are the launch games and basically will have had some of the shortest dev times out of all Switch 2 launches. So, unfortunately it seems that a lot of docked games (Hitman, Cyberpunk) suffer from the lack of VRR and have inconsistent framerates. My fear has been realized.
