Wonder if GameChat influenced their decision to go with the bigger 8" screen.I was curious about using Game Chat video in handheld mode so I tested it and it works just fine. Playing Mario Kart with friends and family with cams is awesome. Love seeing the despair on their faces when you hit 'em with the blue shell.

It definitely helps along with having top and bottom usb-c ports.Wonder if GameChat influenced their decision to go with the bigger 8" screen.

Why the hell are you even in this thread then? You responded to a video showcasing the game with how you love PC gaming and are emulating it in a fucking Switch 2 thread.
You're fucking GPU alone is nearly 4x the cost of the entire Switch 2 so of fucking course it looks better then a $450 console that is essentially a tablet. You people never stfu about PC do you?
lots of stocks available, either we're getting a record-breaking number of sales or the switch2 is DOA, no in betweenWas at the nintendo store in NYC today, they had stacks of switch 2s
I just love how it's integrated on a system level and all you have to do is just flip it. I've been using it to fill in forms (eg. credit card info etc.) super quickly. Seems to work solidly on most surfaces. The mouse functionality with the joycon is super underrated.
Nah people have been doing this for 20 years. There's an infamous one with the PS3 on launch night. No offense for me its the gen z syndrome of wanted to be notice through notority
Switch Up is cranking out good content
Saints Row gets huge boosts on Switch 2. These are games I bought for like $10. Not bad at all.
OLED has a lower battery impact.
How do the cards taste?
Did someone test this?
IM ASKING THE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS
What do you use it for? I really want to test it but I'm not ready to buy Civ 7. What other games use it?The mouse functionality with the joycon is super underrated. Not many games are using it yet, but like gyro controls, I suspect plenty of games will.
I'm really surprised at how well it works, even just using it on my lap or couch. I'm tempted to buy Civ 7 just for the novelty of using the mouse controls.
I hope we see some weird stuff in the future, too. We've basically never had dual-mouse games before, so we could see some new genres or gameplay gimmicks come from this. (Hopefully something better than that stupid wheelchair basketball game though.)
shooters like cyberpunk probably. What do you use it for? I really want to test it but I'm not ready to buy Civ 7. What other games use it?
I can understand why they used express cards as the speeds are awesome. But Unfortunately nothing really uses them so the prices are high. I was trying to buy a 512gb but could only seem to get a 256gb one.My only concern with the console , since the announcement is the storage. 256 is not enough, and consider how expensive the Express SD cards are, and the somewhat low storage , I am really concern about that. Mainly with the Game Key card thing, which, I really hope it is only a release window thing. Else , only first party games will be in the cart.
Battery life :
It averages at almost 2 and a half hours with CB2077...
...what I really find unacceptable though, is the fact that the ROG ally only manages about 1 hour and somethin' minutes, how are these systems considered to be "portable" ?
The SD appears to be better but, battery life is the biggest problem with portables.
I got the Switch 1 version of this and it's greatJust bought Marvel vs Capcom fighting collection and played it. Boy does playing it on the Switch 2 suck ass, i really need something to grip the joycons. Anyone have suggestions? Preferably silicone if possible.
Man, apparently, finding a silicone case which is also detachable AND dockable is almost impossible...
Ordered one the other day from Amazon and - surprise, surprise - now that people actually got a S2 in their hands say that the cover is not dockable, FML...
Been also searching on AliE and Temu to no avail, any suggestions guys ?
Already put a screen protector but, I can't have the rest of the console "naked"/unprotected since this a portable system after all...
i'm torn between this or the savage raven (skull&co) neogrip 2I got the Switch 1 version of this and it's great

If you want to (very) soft mod your joycon into a dpad you can use these/this cap. Again, I used this on my Switch 1 and it worked great

Initial sales doesn't represent long term. The die hards are buying the initial stock, Nintendo has to convince the masses it's worth it. I don't have any problem with the console price but I do with the games pricing."DROP THE PRICE!", "I WON'T BUY IT."
Fastest selling console in 24 hours in history.
Yeah...
What is also pretty good is how the Switch runs older Switch titles. The ones that have no Switch 2 versions I mean. As the Switch 2 uses emulation for all original Switch games the new hardware runs them at consistent frame rates by default.
I think it's more of a case of the Switch 2 not being able to run games at those rates... even if it wanted to lol. It's not emulation (which is a good thing, because that would be much less performant), but yeah, most games with performance issues on the original Switch seem to get smoothed out and generally hit their frame rate caps.
From what people say on the topic, it kinda is (not pure software emulation but also not hardware reproduction as previous Nintendo consoles, but rather something in between - like PS5 playing PS4 titles)It's not emulation (which is a good thing, because that would be much less performant)
"If we tried to use technology like software emulators...we'd have to run Switch 2 at full capacity, but that would mean the battery wouldn't last so long, so we did something that's somewhere in between a software emulator and hardware compatibility."

That's exactly what I saidIt's a translation layer basically, mapping old instructions to new ones. It's kinda like emulation, but not really, they're not emulating a full Switch on the Switch 2.
That's exactly what I said
I had 26 games installed (a lot of small stuff like Ib and Witch's House but also big stuff like BOTW) and I still had 99gb available.Just looked up the price of microsd express cards. Thats gonna be a no for me dawg.
