Where are the arcade racers?

This is stuck on the Xbox 360 and I'd love to try it out. I hear 360 emulation is not that great yet.

Need a sequel to motorstorm or wipeout asap
Well that won't happen anytime soon, seeing as Sony aren't bothered, and it remains to be seen if Forza Horizon 6 builds upon 5 and adds in motorbikes of all varieties (quad bikes included..) though there is this on Switch 2:

Part of Driveclub is already playable in ShadPS4 under some specific occasions or using a fork

Personally i'm only getting 1 fps but that's a known issue that i feel it's going to be solved pretty soon.

Driveclub at 60fps is close.

I miss Split Second :messenger_sad_relieved:

RIP Blackrock Studios

Can you imagine a sequel to that game with all the tech now? Explosions/particle vfx would look fucking nuts.

I started playing PCVR using my Quest 3 and virtual desktop. Takes racers to the next level. Pair Assetto Corsa + Feed back wheel + mods = Crazy racing fun@!

i started playing this on steam deck other day, i had xbox 360 version but didnt know it was also on pc(abandonware ofc)
Physics are wild, you can basically drift all track like going downhill in u2 drift race. Graphics and art are impeccable. Also game has really cool track deformation system since all shredded tracks etc persist through race and affect your line

The best arcade racers are still on the Gamecube hands-down, not even a question. FZero and Waverace... boom.
I'd rather have Sega Rally, Burnout 3, NFS Hot Pursuit 2 (the real version), Wipeout, Ridge Racer 5, Flat Out 2, Shox, OutRun 2 Coast to Coast.
All available on PS2, none of them are on GameCube.

Didn't know Namco made a knock off of Sega's arcade Initial D games, might be fun. Recent update (game's from 2013).

Edit: never mind, it's not true racing at all, it only looks like Initial D but is more like the equivalent of those those drag racing games where you only shift gears but for drifting. Sucks.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer looks great. Due this year, release date TBC, from the devs behind Burnout and Need For Speed.
