Karak from ACG about Dying Light:The Beast while also showing gameplay .

And this one is just more of a straight up playthrough of the demo this YouTuber got to play. Enjoy!

Do they talk about the quest design and pacing?
I'm playing through 2 with some friends and it's honestly a slog. So many fucking cutscenes and dialogue scenes for a crap story that no one gives a shit about.
Sometimes we'll play for an hour an a half and all we do is talk to someone, who sends us to talk to someone else, who sends us across the town to watch a cutscene so we can then go talk to someone else, then we actually get to fight zombies for 3 minutes before going back to running around town to talk to people.

Dying light 2 improved a lot after a yesr.

New gore system.
New physics like the first game
New animations
More stuff.

Just look comparison in YouTube.

Skipped Dying Light 2, loved Dying Light, got it on console and double dipped on PC AND finished it with a friend in coop. Good stuff. I wonder if this Beast game will be worth getting, I mean, what does it bring to the table that we have not seen? Does it improve anything?

dead island is the fun game..
Fuck this series 😆😘
The first was quite possibly the best zombie game of all time. Nothing like it.

Sure as hell not Dead Island lmao

Last time I gave it another (since launch) go was two years ago, and I remember it still feeling off. The chases weren't as relentless, and night time was still relatively safe. I did hear they finally added guns. Hopefully it was incorporated into the game well.

I'll give it another go. May as well try to beat it before Beast comes out. At launch though, it was one of my bigger gaming disappointments.

First game was absolutely great. Second one I didnt like that much anymore. Cant really pinpoint why. Lots of stuff was pretty predictable if you played the first one already (of course) and it felt way more mmo-ish....and the story wasnt that interesting anymore. Extremely subjective though.

The Following dlc for Dying light was a massive improvement over the base game, let's see if it maintains the streak.

Loved the first Dying Light, but didn't play more than a few hours of DL2 before putting it down. At first I thought it was because I was getting bored of the formula, but I've since relayed both the first game and Dead Island.

I loved upgrading my vehicle and finding parts for it, as well as having a skill tree dedicated to it. I dont think they took the right aspects from the 1st as it seems theyre just random vehicles, no personality. DL2 also took the wrong aspects from the 1st and it was a fucking mess. Considering it was supposed to be dlc, I have little hope.

Wow, didn't know this was a direct sequel to first DL and the main character is Kyle Crane again. It's starting to interest me more now.

So I just saw this on Steam, never even heard of it. Is there no marketing for it? This is a full sequel to a popular franchice, right?

Just a reminder that people who originally bought the Ultimate Edition of Dying Light 2 are getting this for free.

It's more of an expansion of DL2 that turned into a full game. I was pretty hyped for this initially, but when I saw karak's preview, I was constantly asking myself whether or not this was footage from The Beast or DL2. It looks incredibly dated and DL2 felt like a huge disappointment. It's a shame how this turned out, with DL1 being an absolute banger I was hoping this would be a return to form for them.

Even though Dying Light 2 was a massive disappointment, I'm still giving this a shot. If they botched it again then I'll just refund it before the 2 hour mark

I'm shocked they didn't delay.

Depending on reviews or at least performance on platforms, this could sink the studio….

Delay? It was already delayed from August to September and things have been looking good judging by previews and stuff. Surprised there's still no reviews.

They have bungled the launch window terribly. You'd think this was an Xbox release like Avowed from how little it's been advertised.

That being said, until said otherwise it looks quite good. Only an hour until we find out.

I played it when it came to PS+ long after release and it was great. Story wasn't all that great but I didn't think it was all that great in the first game either. I just thought the game went on to long but the parkour and being in the city was fun.

This month is rough to release in. October would've been better for games like cronos , silent hill f, and this. Zombies, horror, etc gets a boost in October because of Halloween.

Plus at end of October the main game is ninja gaiden 4. I'd rather compete against that honestly.

This really went under the radar. I was actually a huge fan of the second game even as flawed as it was. At least at launch. They patched the grappling hook so you couldn't spiderman up buildings and nerfed the unbreakable weapon charm. Kind of ruined the game with patches and live service elements. Not sure what to think of this.

Oh yes, I agree. For me, Dying Light's problems are the nauseating camera motion, the endless and tedious parkour, and the cheesy writing that takes itself so seriously it becomes cringe-inducing. You can't relate to or like any character in the series.

If you make the right decisions your character comes off like a weird incel cuck with rosario dawson. It was hilarious.

ngl I really appreciate being able to try every game that comes out on steam for a couple hours and decide whether keep it or refund it if I don't like it :messenger_sunglasses:
