I am not sure where all the hate for Konami started, and honestly, I don't really care enough to dig into it. Sure, Metal Gear Survive was a disaster, but I skipped that one entirely.
And yes, Konami and Hideo Kojima clearly had their issues, but I was not involved in that drama, so I don't see why I should hold onto it.
What matters to me is that Konami brought back my favorite game serie Metal Gear Solid. I absolutely loved every minute of MGS Delta, and I cannot wait to see which other entries in the franchise will get the same remake treatment.
The same goes for the Silent Hill remake, even though it was never one of my favorite series, I still thoroughly enjoyed what they did with it.
What I appreciate most is that these remakes pay true respect to the original games, which is especially the case with MGS Delta.
I don't need a brand new Metal Gear Solid without the wacky genius of Hideo Kojima at the helm. What I do want is for Konami to continue giving us faithful and lovingly crafted remakes of my favorite game series of all time.

I need them to create a great new Castlevania and Silent Hill in-house to consider them truly back. As is they are just a publisher renting out IP licenses and old code.
Regardless, I loved the Castlevania Dominus Collection by M2. Haunted Castle Revisited is legit good even if its design is archaic by today's standards. The Silent Hill 2 Remake by Blooper was good. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater codeveloped by Virtuous was updated nicely as well.

Haven't played MGS 3 Delta, but it seemed fine. We NEED a port/remaster of MGS4. That game can't stay on PS3 forever.

Konami changed focus. They didn't like the power Kojima had and the cost of his games so they got him out. Then they stepped back from gaming and focused on other parts of their business. Once they deemed it prudent, they returned to games with a remake to test the waters. They are probably going to make MGS6.

MGS3 Remake has major performance issues.

But it won't be the same without him, (Metal Gear 6) it's like making Alien without Ridley Scott, 5 might have been bad, but MGS 1 to 4, along with Peacewalker where the best in series.....on top of that how can we class as Konami being "back" ....there decision to end the Pro Evo soccer series has got to be one of the worst (sports) gaming decisions in history....they thought e-football was the way to go, but that just alienated the fans and now we have no decent soccer game (which isn't online multiplayer focused)

I enjoyed the hell out of it even if it was rushed past the intro but that is an independent project by Far Out Games developers turned into a retail release with funding from Konami as I understand it.

Still don't know what everyone's problem with MGS3 Delta is, completed a non-lethal playthrough on Extreme without issue. On PS5 Pro no less, which is supposedly 'worse' than the base console
