Marvel's Wolverine Releases Fall 2026 | PS5 Games

Hate the color palette, everything is fucking bright but then you have blood and gore because fans wanted it. It's Fortnite but with blood and gore. It doesn't blend. The Last of Us 2 and Callisto Protocol (sure this is horror but still) have better color/art that actually blends well with the blood and gore. Frankly they should have stuck with something in the middle.

Happy to be proven wrong as this is just a trailer, final product might be better than the small segment of clips I saw.

For every by the numbers game you get something like Pragmata.

Plenty to enjoy. I imagine gameplay here will be similar to marvel Spider-Man or Batman Arkham games with dismemberment. I mean we aren't going to get ninja gaiden Logan edition.

A game is a sum of its parts. Combat can be good mindless fun and everything else can be stellar. Should make for a fun experience.

This looked very promising. Until they shown something otherwise I'm going to base my hype off what we have.

I fucking love Wolverine more than any other "hero" so my blinders are on until they direct feed show me horse shit.

I'm glad they've kept it gory. Other than that there was nothing exciting in the trailer.
I'll be interested to see a longer look at gameplay, the few glimpses of what might be "gameplay" we saw looked like finisher animations. Hopefully there's some depth to the combat and it's not just another Arkham combat system but with gore.
 
Rewatched the 4K trailer...oof. Looks really good. I love the way insomniac is using chromatic aberration and film grain. I usually turn these effects off, but i always like them in their games. It looks filmic

the issue with the batman combat is that it's not something you can make a whole game out of. Batman Arkham Asylum was a metroidvania-light with heavy stealth elements. so there was exploration, puzzle solving, stealth gameplay AND combat. combat was 1 of multiple elements. it was the fun breather element between stretches of exploration, puzzling and stealthing.

well, after Spider-Man 2 and after how they focused on EVERYTHING except gameplay in that trailer, my expectations are so low that they're sightseeing the titanic right now.
you just know this game will be riddled with fake gameplay (linear paths with button prompts and randomly limited movement) and slow walking sequences...

Yeah I was quick to notice that too. I'll wait until the game is out in the wild before purchasing though.
 
Looks great! Would love a list of all the confirmed X-Men appearances, I hope we get some really sweet cameos and side characters.

Seems like it should be the best X-Men product since X-Men '97 released.

If you read the gameplay leaks, you would realize it is not thin on gameplay mechanics. It is not the Arkham style combat
 
I had zero faith after Spider-Man 2 but that looks fuckin incredible. First Sony first party I've been excited for since, well, the disappointment that was Spider-Man 2.

Since antifa is now a terrorist and the world is healing as common sense is getting back, there is hope that this game will be free from any virtue signaling like for example push and force pride flags, trans and pronouns crap. I hope even with leftist and woke activist working in Insomniac games, they will emulate the developer of Indiana jones that even if they have leftist developers, they did not insert any woke crap in Indiana jones.

The main issue from the leaks was the plot stuff. I haven't even read it, but I can smell the SM2 stink on Insomniac now and it'll be hard to get out.

Since , it is in Japan, im sure he will be there. The teaser showing sentinel showing up battling Wolverine, will look cool. I'm very hopeful with this game, but I will wait for wokeness and virtue signaling evaluation first when it is launch next year before my purchase. I hope and pray insomiac will not disappoint and will stop push and forcing agendas.

Why the hell did he slide around like that between enemies? This is gonna be another arkham freeflow copy nonsense isn't it?
Also the actor stuff was super cringe.
At least the violence is there, but I'm not looking forward to combat where logan is just sliding around like he's frozone.
 
Have they shown an updated Jean Gray yet? Her omission from the trailer was noticeable.

Looked better than I feared but it definitely had a lot of scripted parts. Also the whole "Look, look we are being violent, aren't we cool" stuff is lame. You don't need to draw attention to it.
