First time you say?

Ran into it watching reels, wanted to know your throughs, not insults. We are all grownups, its where someone from Nasa has a slip of the tongue stating "this is the first time we are going to send humans to the moon"
What do you guys think about the slip up?

Nothing. Except for those that believe in flat earth.

Nothing, because the evidence that humans have already been to the moon is incontrovertible.

I think you slipped up and missed the second part of his sentence.

1st time on the moon WITH people on a space station in LEO.

Yes I'm a flat earth believer, wanted to see what you males and females ponder between post.
Tell me how to convert, I fucking love flat earth but I can't convince myself of it. I desperately wanna believe we live on a fucking disc and NASA is lying.

I also love the christian thing that says the Earth is 10,000 years and dinos are fake.

I didn't realise NASA were mentioned in the bible.
A.I is changing things, removing what they want, Nasa means deceiver in hebrew, but A.I is changing that and removing it from the web, here's what it says now
The statement "Nasa means deceiver" is false and is based on a misunderstanding of Hebrew words. The claim is often spread by flat-earth conspiracy theorists to imply the space agency is engaged in a large-scale deceptio
its what A.I is really used for across the net, removing truth

A bunch of pictures, cool.

I am not sure what your gotcha is tbh.

But i know mines, so here it goes:
And now this thread. I don't really think you are here for an actual debate.
did something I post strike a nerve? Info comes, info goes, posting the last 4 post means? Nothing, now what you have to say about the spacex bs? Local sun pics, also nothing? Just ignore them? Here's another

Neither of those images are from Apollo 12. Do flatearthers just believe whatever the captions on some random facebook image tell them?

? That image is from Apollo 8. Also the clouds aren't the same as your Apollo 11 pictures you posted earlier, so I am really not sure what you are trying to say.

The only thing dumber than not believing we landed on the moon, is believing in the flat earth.

As for the quote, he said this is the first time we will have people on the moon and in low earth orbit at the same time, which is factually correct.

Nothing, really. Because the moment i would engage on a factual level with you on these things, you will proceed to do the thing you are now accusing me of.

The things people ignore, even when they show you, way to cancel bad karma

That's the thing. The OP wants to tell us something and then suggests all the facts are lies and made up. But the difference is, nobody in this thread is really interested since the OP's link is Facebook.

So i have to wonder with who the OP tries to argue. Perhaps the OP is looking past their own event horizon and finding out that there are many, many people out there believing these socalled lies?

I don't know. I am actually off-duty due to sickness so i just find this entertaining to read.
Lets presume we live on a Flat Earth right now. What does it matter to our day to day activities? What does it matter to you? In Opposite World, you would still exist, making a thread on GAF, and trying to tell us that the world is actually a ball and curved.

So to me this whole exercise comes across as meaningless. Because in both of these universes, you are trying to challenge the status quo and then bask in feigned smirkness that all of us don't get it and believe the lies. Where's the fun in that? That sounds like a boring daily activity at best, and a delusional activity at worst. Surely, you have better ways to spend your time.

when you let the demonic control how you view things, they win... I'd rather know the truth of the world, demons are real, god is real, it goes deeper, way deeper then just that. I picture them laughing in our faces at how they fooled the whole world into believing a lie. I don't like being fooled in that way. They put it right in you face, but you ignore it... like a faithful puppy

How tiny would the entire world be for that image to make sense? Lighthouse range is like 50 miles, yet the earth is about 4k miles. You may as well drop a flat piece of plywood on the ground and say "see? light isn't bending across it!"

This is besides the point that the gravity of Earth affects light and pulls/bends it downward, which is irrelevant anyway because the distance isn't far enough for there to be a discernible difference to a boat within range of a lighthouse only miles way. So if you want to deny/ignore that gravity bends light, you can, and it's still silly anyway.

Well-traveled people know how navigation instruments like GPS, magnets etc work and why they wouldn't if the earth was flat, for a cascade of reasons, starting with the physics that allow the GPS satellite to orbit the planet immediately breaking, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

It's hard for me to reconcile that someone smart enough to use a phone and post an embedded image can peddle this seriously, I cope by hoping it's just bait.

Luckily for you i don't reject the existence of a godlike deity outright (i used to) but i prefer that in this vast universe there is something out there that has capabilities beyond what a Earth-human can muster.

I am not sure who you mean by they but i am sure a random picture from your end will tell me the right answer.

Well, you found the truth! Congratulations. But why are you on a conquest to convince others? Isn't it just okay that you know the truth?

I picture them laughing in our faces at how they fooled the whole world into believing a lie. I don't like being fooled in that way.
I would be pissed too if i found out that i am not smart enough to understand the science behind all of this. And, like you, i would go to a social media site made by a megalomanian company where a random stranger tells me these things. As if Big Corpo is a better alternative than whatever we are apparently thought to believe in.

They put it right in you face, but you ignore it... like a faithful puppy
You see the thing with social media and our society today is that the news, people like you, sites like these and what not almost force you to have an opinion. And not just any opinion - Preferably an opinion that we can agree with.

Have you ever considered i choose to ignore certain things? If i were not to, i would be out there 24/7/365 (If you believe that time scheme, that is!) investing all my time in caring what other people's opinions are and what they may think of my choices.

Personally, i don't think that's worth my time and its also silly to do. I wouldn't have any hobbies or a job, all i would do is to give my obviously miserable existence some kind of goal which nonetheless wouldn't change the fact that my existence is miserable.

So no, i wouldn't do that. If you believe in Flat Earth, good for you. Why invest time telling people the truth's out there? Its good enough for you, no?

This is literally a picture from a flat earth site, and a screencap of a picture collage even. Why is the effort of convincing so low quality?

Question Mark What GIF by MOODMAN

The fug is goin on on this thread?
I didn't take the bait or went on to debate this seriously, so the OP is upset about that and proceeded to use the power of ignore in order to post some more of these lies.

Its kind of disappointing: All i asked was what it does for their day to day lives and that in a mirror universe, OP would still be on the losing end of this because assuming the OP is right and everyone else is wrong, imagine how many people you need to convince to get the truth be set free.

That's a lot of people. Far too many people to actually care that about much or to invest that kind of time in. So i asked where the fun is in all that.

But i realized self reflection requires reflection from the eye balls, and as we all know, eye balls are curved, which is why it gets ignored. It gets too close to the sun, sort to say.

It is a curious slip of the tongue but i think what he meant was "this is the first time we are going to send humans on the moon SINCE we sent Kubrick to shoot the first trip in 69"

Ummm light house range is 50 miles yes..... that's 1667.5 feet off missing curvature.... see what you miss by not knowing? light houses are 33 feet (10 m) to 208 feet (64 m) tall.... that means you wouldn't be about to see the light due to the curve... come on man
