It is dramatically different. Whenever Jez speaks about the industry and particularly Xbox related there are pages and pages of derision, often attacks on him personally and professionally. Given the context of that excessive hate, no my pointing out that Sneakers isn't always correct is not remotely in the same league.
Any mistakes from Jez are highlighted and reposted endlessly because of his strong links to the Xbox brand and senior staff. If Sneakers were making more positive claims about Xbox and its future you better believe his credibility would be strongly challenged on this forum.

There's literally and absolutely zero reasons for Xbox Hardware (except maybe controllers) to even exist anymore, unless you count competition to keep arrogant Sony at bay, but if we won't be counting this then the gaming world will lose absolutely nothing if Xbox consoles will go away forever. Moreover, if not by using consoles, then making great games they can easily compete with Sony if even indie and AA games doing this.

I've seen plenty of shitposting from Jez on X over the years so he gives as well as he gets. If S SneakersSO said there was absolutely more Xbox consoles coming then there would be little reason for anyone here to doubt him. Tom Warren isn't vouching for the guy for nothing. Instead of doubting the guy, it is probably better to off focus on what he actually said: that next gen Xbox consoles are not a "sure thing".
