Powerwash Simulator 2 releases on October 23rd

It will cost $25.

Releases on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and Switch 2.

And people who own the first one on Steam will get a 15% discount on the new one.

The first one was odd fun, but not seeing what's different in this 2nd installment. They could have just continued adding levels for those who really wanted more.

Also only now realised that the dev is the same as for Velocity (and also Coconut Dodge) Just like Treyon, Croteam or Hello Games the various projects some teams finish are just weird and almost unbelievable how these games can be from the same studio.

Yeah. Been waiting for Ikaro Will Not Die for a while now. Instant day 1 for me, since it's from Futurlab.

Not sure if it was canceled or what.

For me at least, splitscreen co-op is a huge addition. My kids always want to play the first one with me, but no splitscreen.

I did the first mission last night. Feels pretty similar to the last one. Podcast background game. I was a bit more into Spray Paint Simulator so far.

Fuuuuuuck. That's me up to 2am on work nights pretending to power wash things in a video game, whilst my patio could do with one IRL.

Is the actual gameplay/physics different at all? Does water pool or run or drip or do anything that actual water does, or is it still just making the exact spot you spray clean and that's as complicated as it gets?

It was still fun in the first one but it felt like there was a lot more they could do to make it actually feel like you are spraying water.

The basic formula is the same; spray spot to get rid of dirt. There does seem to be more variety in sprayers beyond new ones being strictly better. Like one of the early options is one that has a large saucer like end for covering larger areas. And the soap is actually useful and (apparently) recharges on its own. I know I never even bothered with soap in the first game but have used it on the 3 stages I've played so far.

For whatever reason this game only cost $21.49 instead of $25. I guess there was a discount for owning the original game.
