Its a nice option. I'll have to pick up a few on deep sales since I'm getting them a 2nd time. Spider Man 1, God of War 1, Ghost 1, Nioh trilogy. Might be about it. Days Gone also. Then I can put my PS5 in storage again.I'm even more happy for you. You get to play ps4 games for cheap![]()
MS always likes releasing an S and X tier, black and white models. Magnus AT3 could easily be a midrange S Console. 40-44 CUs, roughly 20-25% weaker than the PS6, while Magnus AT2 is 30-35% more powerful than the PS6.No. The next Xbox will be expensive posing no threat to Sony's midrange priced hardware dominance.

$599 S, $999 X, similar price points as the Xbox Ally models.
PS6 would slot in the middle at $699 without disc drive or vertical stand. Dockable Handheld targets the masses at $499.

I still think a $599 S Console with PC store access, no online multiplayer could do decently well. 40 CU RDNA5 is quite powerful, even more so than a Series X. The PS6 handheld will only be 15 CU RDNA5.Being weaker than the PS6 will do as well as the Series S did against the PS5. Even parity wouldn't be enough. All they can do now is make something noticeably stronger than the PS6 and appeal to people that want more power. Same sales pitch as the Xbox One X.

MS wouldn't be taking a loss on it either unlike the current Series S.

But is that 30% profit margin for the Whole division or every single aspect of it? By being multiplatform, as long as a game is decent, I think they will reach 30% easily. If expenses are $100 million, getting $130 million is only two million copies across all ecosystems.
Do you think Sony will scale back on releasing first party games on pc?
Doubt it. PC is a lot more ubiquitous than the new niche Xbox.

Doesn't sound like Yotei did gangbusters either. Did fine but not growing, which is what the main issue is.
This one ?Someone please post that gif of a girl on the bus.
The main reason they port to PC is lack of growth. That seems to be continuing with their latest release. Fine, but not really growing. So I would assume delayed PC releases will continue, with day 1 multiplayer games. The main issue?
I'd say the main issue is spending hundreds of millions of dollars on games that take upwards of 5 years to make then expecting 10's of millions of sales to recoup costs and become profitable. Scale back. I don't care to see hair flowing realistically. I want gameplay above all else and great games. Hundreds of millions of dollars aren't required to accomplish this (see Absolum and Ball X Pit as recent examples).which is what the main issue is.
For sure. But that's kind of the main thing Sony excels at is the high production values. It's not clear if they have a huge audience at this point for AA stuff. But yeah, I like AA stuff. We'll see which way they go I guess.I'd say the main issue is spending hundreds of millions of dollars on games that take upwards of 5 years to make then expecting 10's of millions of sales to recoup costs and become profitable. I changed my mind. You convinced me.Is that the main reason? Because I really don't think that is.

Also, I don't think Magnus X (AT2) by MS will be $1200, that would leave no wiggle room for the OEMs to create higher spec consoles with more storage, ram, higher clocks, asProelite mentioned. I could see MS console at $999, OEM console Elite at $1200, and even more expensive Xbox PCs in the $1500-$2000 range.
But MS has to set the baseline for developers.

Yeah. GoY is a very good game and a massive leap over Tsushima in almost every category. Legitimately game of the year contender. And it's a shame a lot of people who claim to love video games are missing out on it.There's a middle ground and Sucker Punch has found it perfectly. Yet sadly most on GAF is too stupid or fanboyish to see the light and understand. GoY is a high production value AAA game made by 160 or so people. Sucker Punch's co-founder said that the development cost for Ghost of Yōtei was "very, very similar" to Ghost of Tsushima, which had a $60 Million budget.
Sony is figuring this out to a degree. Yet all people wanted to talk about was it wasn't a big enough leap from the first game.
No, by the time next gen systems hit Sony will be putting way more games on PC and Xbox than they do now
