I did the quest and redeemed the code on my embark account but can't find the backpack in game. Anyone else? There is currently a discord quest to play the game for 15 mins with your console/pc linked and you get a backpack

Nice!Just thought I'd do a solo night raid and use a key I'd been saving, just ran straight to the location and looted what I could, ran all the way to furthest extraction and as I was heading to the elevator I heard someone else had activated it. Decided to wait until I saw the guy going to start the lift to go down as I ran over just slid in before the door closed.![]()
This game is pure crack. I was supposed to call it an early night, but it's always "one more raid". Been having more fun than I've anticipated.
Yeah, I get it. But there has to be a balance between "dangerous" and "frustrating". I hope the developers are aware that true danger should come from dynamic threats, not static ambushes where the outcome feels predictable and unavoidable.More likely he just wants it to be more dangerous than it currently is.
It'll be interesting to see how friendly people remain a month or two from now.
That's right. For now I much prefer the wholesome moments over psychopathic knee-jerk ambush gameplay. A lot of people are super-nice. I love it. But like already mentioned by others; we'll see what happens when people get bored and "the nice people" fall off.Since most encounters are friendly, solo play is absolutely amazing.
Few beginner tips, if you are just starting out.
TLDR. Turn on night mode in the audio and turn the foliage down.
The nicey nice bullshit is already getting to me. Feels like im looting a gender neutral toilet.Yeah, I get it. But there has to be a balance between "dangerous" and "frustrating". One of the most terrifying, yet dynamic, games I know is the PvE mode in the unfinished beta and flawed game Gray Zone Warfare. It strikes that balance very well, ensuring that skill, patience and decisions largely decide the outcome, and all without a timer... And, allowing players to perform every single action out in a open world field, including quest and inventory management, without ever seeing a loading screen is simply brilliant. I would love to see some similar ideas tailored to Arc sometime.
Anyway, I had a great time with Arc Raiders this evening. Honeymoon is going well

Night mode changes the sound, not the visuals.I did turn on night mode. But the foliage doesn't make much of a difference to me in gameplay, and I prefer the nicer looking atmosphere over what is mostly a placebo or a minor issue in the overall gameplay. The bigger bushes where you can actually hide isn't affected. With that said, in a split second scenario of "first spot, first kill" it might be worth it.

Play teams then. You can go around thirteen party murder hobo, and you can even bitch to your teammates. The nicey nice bullshit is already getting to me.
We should team up. Seems like we have a lot in commonI knowEdit: Oh wait, I'm sorry: WTF. DO YOU THINK I'M STUPID?? I KNOW IT IS FOR THE SOUND. SO FUCK YOU ASSHOLE!! There, I'm sorry for being nice at first

Saw this on X...
What exactly does the Night Mode setting do? Does the Night Mode sound give players a competitive advantage? Why would anyone not enable it?
This is a bit disappointing.Same as how it works with every TV, soundbars, receiver that has it:
(AI summary)
- Loud Sounds are Reduced: Very loud sounds (explosions, crashes) are automatically brought down in volume. This prevents them from being jarring and disturbing others.
- Quiet Sounds are Maintained (or Slightly Amplified): Very quiet sounds (soft dialogue, footsteps, background ambience) are maintained at a clear level or subtly increased.
So you can imagine it can be used as an advantage to hear enemies' quiet or distant sounds better. To me it also makes prox chat easier to hear. It's not very "natural" to compress the audio as much though, so it can be a little jarring at times.
Yeah... when everyone starts using these settings to their advantage, everyone else is also forced to use it. It's a shame, IMO, to compromise Arc Raiders' fantastic atmosphere. But there you have it. But it's not unique to Arc Raiders. f.ex. most streamers are running their games, like f.ex. COD, at stupid low settings. Even 1080p ~240+Hz at low settings to decrease detail clutter. This is a bit disappointing.
I have not laughed this hard at a random YT video in quite some time!
Yeah its the same as the foliage thing everyone should be on a level playing field. Although not tied to performance so every can enable it. Still an oversight from the dev's in both instances. This is a bit disappointing.
Wait, hacker wave incoming..? Fuck...
I am a bad person.

Gloves are off btw. Much more fun. Marathon has made me what I am today.
I've told people several times don't shoot I'm friendly, then they turn their back and I destroy their whole world.Right that's enough of being nice, this is like a knitting club. Its embarrassing. Enough of looking for lemons with strangers.
I have some decent gear time to ruin some folks days.
You dishonorable cretin. That sh*t degrades your soul.I've told people several times don't shoot I'm friendly, then they turn their back and I destroy their whole world.
Welcome to the streets bitch.
Clearly most people in this game have never played an extraction shooter.Clarky: "Let me tell you something. I'm from Tau Ceti and I say kill em all!

Come on man after the week we've just had cut me some slack.
Overweight I think. On PS5 and I'm wondering what the red flashing icon above my stamina bar is?
Also what is the best fov setting?

We can't help you. It's happening to us too! This game has taken over my gaming life. Halp!
Much appreciated.Overweight I think.
And as high as the fov will go.
Personally I don't but yes I believe thats the case. Will be patched I'm sureTurn foliage down? So you can abuse the lower fidelity and see people easier?

Its been out a day, give them a break. I've been in the tests for a good while and they are pretty solid in this regard. Not GGG levels but still engage a fair bit with us.-Embark needs to start talking more. Start engaging the community.
Curious myself. I can easily see where the end game is going to be in the other game, this I'm not so sure. Looks like they might have a similar thing going, but as far as I'm aware they the dev's have not spoken about it, if there is one that is.Someone please post the video or Tweet when a player hits the end game wall.
I want to know how quick it takes and what Embark wants us to do when we get there. It does sound like we're (you jerks) ~15 days away from the Stella Montis map which I suspect will play a heavy part of the end game.
The end game is the loot we stole along the way .Curious myself. I can easily see where the end game is going to be in the other game, this I'm not so sure. Looks like they might have a similar thing going, but as far as I'm aware they the dev's have not spoken about it, if there is one that is.
I get the feeling Embark and Bungie had the same idea with their "one more map soon after launch".Curious myself.
