Brother the game has been out less than a week and you're already screaming you need more pve content immediately.
You can't force people to shoot you but you sure as shit can shoot them.
And no it isn't bull shit that an extraction shooter the pvp is the larger focus.
I will reiterate - YOU are setting yourself up for disappointment if you think this will be nicely even pve content to amount of pvp focus.
In all extraction shooters, this included, the AI is merely a stepping stone distraction and only a threat early on in a reset or start of a season. From there the player base fine tunes and begins to risk more and more to do pvp as that is the focus and enjoyment from longtime dedicated players who will stick with it.
Just because people are nice now on their free loadouts learning the game doesn't mean when week 4+ hits they'll give a shit about looting an arc ball or hornet for alloy and some mediocre ass wires.
Plus, why kill a rocketeer and split the loot when I could get it all for myself by wiping you all out during or after it goes down with some nades? Rather get all the pink items myself.

My 2 pennies. I don't think this game in the long term being a pve experience with lots of quick updates to provide pve content will be there for you.
Disagree, if people only wanted a pve they could play a shitload of other games.
What pushed me to buy the game and i think i'm hardly the only one is the mix of pve and pvp although i'm more partial to the pve part.
I ask more content after a week because i clearly explained how the enemy variety is already abysmal, you think i would ask for more enemies after a week if the game had 20-25 enemy types and like at least 10 for indoors? no i would not do that, how is this so hard to understand?
It is like when people say that a game is too easy, do they have to wait months before talking about lack of challenge? no because it is something that is immediately noticeable after a couple of hours, some people are gonna close their eyes and pretend it's ok but i 'm gonna speak about it, and loudly since enemy variety is one of the most important things to me.
You could be right on my wrong placed expectations but there is no way to spin the fact that right now, enemy variety is dogshit, especially indoors that are not a small part of the game, you could record your next 500 matches and play as unnaturaly as you can trying to disprove me and the footage would still be:
outdoors 70% of fighting the same 3-4 drones
Indoors 95% of times fighting balls, small spiders and the occasional turret
I get what you say but i think you need more than 10 enemies (and half of them feel extremely samey) in your pvepvp extraction shooter.
p.s. I'm mostly mad because they have this cool machine learning ai going on and as an absolute sucker for advanced enemy ai, i would love to see this shit applied to way more enemies, i would be curious to see humanoid robots with machine learning ai etc.
