They could have made the switch 1 version 30fps to increase the scope of the project. But this has to run at 60fps on switch 1 is gona make this feel like a wii game at most

So they should've made the version people waited eight years for worse? Prime's always been about atmosphere, pacing, design, and smooth performance, not specs. You think this looks like a Wii game? Please get your eyes checked out ASAP.

I'm not even a graphics nut but I tend to agree here.
They've put a lot of graphics efforts into the intro area on Switch 2, and it shows a great difference with Switch 1.

But the rest of the areas ? Not so much. It just looks like Switch 1 with 4K resolution and some higher resolution textures.

Everything looks great, except for the motorcycle shit. It's just so weird to me to see these detailed environments in first-person, and then you get some bike world that is completely empty. It's whiplash. Completely robs it of atmosphere.
Felt the same way about them adding a futuristic motorcycle to Breath of the Wild. Takes me out of believing the setting, it doesn't fit or make any sense. Quit forcing dumb nonsensical shit into games, it destroys immersion.

Never thought I'd say it but going to have to wait on reviews for this one. I can't imagine it being bad. Yet I fear the marketing isn't selling me on it? Beautiful screenshots tho

seems like im far from alone in thinking this way. And yea idk it looks like a high rez wii game with 20 year old animations

The game's grahics looks terrible... hopefully the gameplay is good.
Yeah, the 'open-world' looks very rough. Even on Switch 2.

Huge departure visually from the more linear sections it seems. It looks really nice in those, and the Switch 2 version seems like a big step up from the Switch.

I am really hoping that they added a lot of stuff to "do" in the bike sections but haven't shown anything so as to not reveal too much.

But yeah, I agree, it is not the classic Metroid atmosphere.

Looks alot better here. What really brings it down are the open environments like you said but its also animations. It looks soo floaty and PS2 like in the way you move and shoot.

Something crazy better happen in that desert for them to justify it being so big and empty.

its a desert.

Deserts are supposed to look packed?
No I just mean I hope it's not only in the game to provide a vast "open world" traversal space. I hope there's some crazy boss that comes out of the sand, or maybe there are clusters of interest.

I guess what I'm saying is that the desert area looks boring and un-metroid. I hope they do something surprising with it.

we have seen other areas with her on the bike so I wouldn't worry, but Id imagine the desert is probably the biggest.

This trailer looks good. The last one or two looks at the game didn't sell me at all. It's Retro's track record that has me already convinced to purchase but I found this to be a good showing.

Metroid games are difficult to sell based on gameplay footage, especially when the person doesn't know what the games are like to begin with. I don't think these trailers are doing that much to sell new fans the game, but the motorcycle parts are NOT helping. NSW2 version looks awesome though, I was worried from the first couple trailers, but now I'm not.

Dunno... I just finished Metroid Dread.. loved that, but think it's too soon to play another Metroid.
I just can't unsee Halo 4 in this

Trailer music sucks, it's generic movie trailer music to me. Bike seems bad. Being able to shoot one projectile once every 5 seconds is pretty lame.

Desert seems like the worst zone in the game. Needs a large sandworm to justify itself IMO. Otherwise I'd rather just walk to the destination.

The desert looks great if you aren't on the bike. Check 20 seconds in. Look fantastic.

Wolf creatures doesn't open their mouths to howl. Silly.

Everything else seems good and it's main focus is definitely being a very pretty game. At least on S2.

Would like a trailer be at least 3 minutes long.

Day 1 regardless. Waited too long for another Metroid Prime.

Looks good.
Though IMO the "Switch 2 edition" trailer they should have had some comparison shots between the Sw1 and Sw2 versions to really sell how upgraded it looks on the newer console

man... i love the Prime series and i really want to play MP4 but i dont want to buy a switch 2 just for 1 game

decisions decisions.....

I would buy this game even when it would look like Prime Hunters on DS, fuck gfx sluts....
A new Retro Studios Prime Game!!! I'm super hyped (even when the bike segments look super stupid)
Party hard!
