It cannot be for the new handheld because it's still just a PS6. It could just mean for PS4/PS5 and future PS5/PS6 games (and maybe PS4/PS5/PS6 games if they ever happen), though.

If Sony didn't release games on PC they would be at a disadvantage in the digital locker age. in the digital locker age hardware will not matter you will just buy the software & play it wherever you like but it would be pointless for people to choose to by from Sony if their licence only worked for PS5.

This is where we are headed

Next mind bending prediction: You will be able to play PS5 games on your PS4 , Xbox One , Xbox Scarlet , PC , Mac , Android phone & iPhone even if you don't own a PS5.

Yup. It doesn't mean cross-buy with PC, it can be cross-buy between Sony's own platforms. Plus the source is iffy to say the least.

I used to love MiniDisk (and their eReaders) and had a few different ones, but hated Sony Software. Shouldn't have get rid of them, those devices were really fun.

But yeah, on software side Sony has always been terrible me and they are sure to fail.

Doesn't that mean the game in question is cross-buy between PS platforms (PS4, PS5, PS6) and not a reference to the PC version? They're two different labels.

On Xbox, there are already cross-buy games between Xbox One and Xbox Series X, but they aren't Play Anywhere and don't include the PC version. I think it's the same here and nothing PC Launcher relative.
