The main no go are these horrible loading times!Bring it. The 30fps lock after all these years is an insult.
I'm the former. Got excited and then read a comment and got immediately deflated. There's two kinds people in this thread, the ones who only read the thread title, and thenones who also read the first post.
Anyway, didn't we have a RDR remaster 2 years ago ?
Is this supposed to be more of a "remake" using their newer engine?
Just play it on PC at 120fps native 4k![]()

Even a 9800x3d and RTX 5090 can't seem to do native 4K 120 at least not at max and that's a CPU that costs the same as the PS5 and a GPU that is 5x. Most people aren't gonna get anywhere close to that on PC considering what the most popular hardware is. Also not everybody wants to play on PC or even people like me that originally played RDR2 on PS4 Pro and fell off but played it later to completion on PC at 60fps I would love to replay it and a PS5 version sounds great.Just play it on PC at 120fps native 4k
OP knows what he's doing, trying to be all slick and shit.
Skip for me, the PS4 port is more than good enough on PS5.
Yes, it is 4K/60 via backwards compatibility, but a proper PS5 version could bring in the enhanced visual settings and drawing distance of the PC version. What is even the point of a native PS5 port? It's already 4k/60 on PS4 via PS5 right? I know it's 60 for sure.
I'm sure Rockstar will charge for it, so I don't see it being worth the upgrade. I guess the GTA V port was only like $10 though so it could be worse? It should be free though.Yes, it is 4K/60 via backwards compatibility, but a proper PS5 version could bring in the enhanced visual settings and drawing distance of the PC version.
They're remastering it again I guessWait so is this just the first game getting upgraded again or is it a possible RDR2? You guys are nuts. I'm lost like old man Topher over here.

They released a Switch/PS4 version back in 2023Even if you read the one sentence post, it is shittily written.
There isn't 2 remasters.
There's one remaster that is across 3 platforms.
They released a Switch/PS4 version back in 2023
Now they're releasing a Switch2/PS5/Xbox Series/iOS version
And looks like Undead Nightmare isn't included this time.
The pc port is from what I am understanding a port of the Switch/PS4 version. If they bother to port the same again on the same platforms, it surely is a new version (with improvements who knows ?).If that's the logic you're going by, there would be three remasters as it came out on Switch/PS4 in 2023, on PC in 2024, and now on PS5/XS/Switch 2.
Also they mention zombies in the screenshot you posted.
It's the first one, not RDR2
Rockstar would have to be on some SERIOUS bullshit to release this without an upgrade path.I would buy the $10 upgrade for Switch 2. Not gonna pay full price again.
