Which is it? Pumpkin, Pecan, Sweet Potato? Apple? Other? I can damn near kill a whole pumpkin pie by myself.
Stuffing/dressing is usually one of the staples. Cranberries/cranberry sauce, too. Some people think it's necessary to make green bean casserole, but I think those people should be hospitalized.I didn't know this was a thing. So there's other cornerstone dishes for Thanksgiving apart from cow-sized turkeys and pies?
Genuine question, we don't have this holiday here.

My wife is one of these people. She gives me the side eye when I roll up with a plate full of turkey and mashed potatoes in one hand and a glass of scotch in the other. We host Thanksgiving for a family and people with no family in the area and my friend hosts Christmas. We have been doing this for over 20 years. Some people think it's necessary to make green bean casserole, but I think those people should be hospitalized.
Pineapple pie? I wasn't even aware that existed. Is it any good?Pineapple and you're all freaks
People who host others without family nearby are holiday heroes, even those who serve green bean casserole. My wife is one of these people. She must be a midwesterner. We love recipes where you use packaged foods as ingredients for other dishes lol. If a recipe calls for canned soup, ramen noodles, Oreos, Ritz Crackers, tater tots, graham crackers, rice crispies, etc as an ingredient then it probably came from the midwest. My wife is one of these people.
